Alright guys, getting to have the conversation with one of my players that he can't drink before or during our sessions anymore. I hate to single the guy out but he's getting to be a huge hassle to play with. He's too drunk to interact with the game and in the times he is capable of interacting...he has no clue what's going on or what he's doing. It's too much, and as the DM, I feel like I have to intervene on the behalf of the other players. They've come to me outside of the game and expressed varying levels of displeasure or discomfort. We've had 8 sessions and 3 of them had him pass out drunk shortly after the session.
I'm really bummed about the whole situation /tg/. I'm damn sure not looking to solve this guy's pretty blatant alcohol problem but damn.

That is a bummer, but it sounds like that you're making the right call. He's distrupting the game with this and other players are taking issues with it, so...yeah.
Sorry you gotta deal with that shit, but that's that.
Gotta bite the bullet man. He can drink all he wants outside of the game but not at the table.
