I've got a hankering for Tenchu/ Oni in board game form!
Anyone know of any games that are equal parts stealth and hand - to - hand combat?
Stealth in RPG's is hard. I'm not really sure of any RPG's that are built entirely around stealth, and I'm honestly not sure how you'd start.
In board games though, you have a lot of options. Hidden Movement board games are really cool, and there's a sci-fi cyberpunk one with a team of agents hunting an infiltrator that looked pretty cool. A quick google yields Specter Ops, which looks right.
Does Oni actually have guns or are those only for covers and artwork?

They're in the game, you just have limited ammo, so you don't blow through the game.

Cheers for the recommendation, I'll check it out.

Blades in the Dark uses a very narrative approach but both stealth and hand to hand is important.

It had really awsome guns. There were pistols and grenade launchers and the like of course, but it also had the Van de Graf Pistol that blasted everyone near you with static energy to stun them, and a gun that basically fired ghosts at people.
I always hoped Oni would get a reboot or a remake or something, but I highly doubt it.
