Pretty well. I wouldn't say that any clan is super strong on its own but skryre has a punch and it's pretty easy to mix more than one clan in your army. I'm running a verminus clanrats spam with a single unit of rat ogors buffed by packmaster and skryre weapon team support

They might be ok if you mark them tzeentch (reroll saves of 1) and keep them close to a shrine for that save as well.

I don't play tzeentch so mine fold like paper. Also they don't get shields like regular chaos warriors do. Warriors cost less and have more survivability

Shields, you get 10 of them instead of 5, and your enemy will focus fire on the chosen before the warriors because they are more valuable.
Like they aren't TERRIBLE, but they aren't the best for the points (160 for 5, vs 180 for 10 warriors). They do good damage but die against people who know what they are.

Proxy them for a game and see how they go. If they work fine then buy some

I always liked the herdstone mechanic when Beastmen got it back in 8th. This iteration feels far less of a crutch and more of a fun little thematic bit. Which is all good in my opinion.

Well, Winterseo's arrangement with GW is a lot more hands off than their arrangement with MWG. With Winterseo, GW probables sends him the books early and simply say make a video about. Because MWG is moderately successful business, there would be more legal and marketing meetings involved. As such they have far more restrictions on what they can, but this is counteracted by the fact that the have the largest war gaming audience on YouTube. At this point, I would not be surprised if MWG is charging GW an advertising fee seeing how many people their content reaches.

Yeah I agree. Tzeentch kind of does this already (with their bolt of change stuff, which either summons a 'new' Tzaangor unit, or reinforces a nearby one)

So it shouldn't be hard to fix, considering death hasn't had a big physical release.

But i'm assuming this will be fixed whenever deathrattle gets a dome, since they're rather conspicuous in their absence from getting allegiance abilities in death.

Mortars were only powerful when spammed, or buffed by a Khemist.

Removing the ability to do either of those things was more than enough to bring them into balance, they didn't have to make them unspammable, kill the Khemist buff and then reduce their range and increase their points.

140 points for a unit of 5 single wound models, that can only shoot 12 inches is far to much.

There is no reason to pick Thunderers over just another unit of Arkanauts now. They're over half the price, can do decent damage, stack well with a Khemist and can actually handle themselves in the combat phase.

I suppose you could still spam Aethershot rifles, since those still stack with a Khemist, but you're still paying 280 points for a unit who's only advantage over a 120 point Arkanaut unit is a +1 to hit and -1 rend.

Shit, with the Arkanauts being able to take 3 light skyhooks for every 10, they even have the edge in firepower.

So what are the consequences of max unit sizes seeing a points reduction across the board? Some seem more or less than others, from 10 points to 60 points. Could this serve to be beneficial long term or do you think this may have negative consequences like 7th/8th ed WHFB?

I personally think it won't have too much of a detriment besides being able to have more units in armies as in contrast to Fantasy, it only comes at a point reduction than in-game benefits.

Hordes are very good against mortal wounds. Doing 6 mortal wounds to a squad of 40 skeletons is far less impactful than doing

AOS has always been designed in a rock-paper-scissors format with Elite, Horde, and Mortal Wounds.

Elites beat Hordes
Hordes beat Mortal Wounds
Mortal Wounds beat elites

The problem was that Hordes weren't worth running because of the battleline system requiring multiple units.With Massive Regiments we should see Hordes come into the meta, which will weaken lists that rely on doing Mortal Wounds (some stormcast, tzeentch, beastclaw).

This will make anti-Horde units like Drycha, Stegadon, and Decimators more valuable and worth bringing to games in case you face a horde unit.

So the impact will be a total change in the metagame - a shift away from heavy mortal wound spam lists because hordes counter them too easily.

I would be worried that hordes could become the new meta if counters didn't already exist in the game.

The Gunhauler is only 60 points less than a frigate, but has less wounds, less firepower, no endrinrigger, can't All Hands to the Guns and can't transport units.

It's purpose in the game is to be a fast moving gunboat pulling double duty as ablative wounds to a frigate, but given its price you're better off just getting another frigate. It does every job of the gunhauler, except better.

Point reduction only makes Mawcrusha worth consideration now, I think he is still overpriced.
Also Gore gruntas still suck, point reduction or not. Once again the thing is you NEED the ironfist to make up for the SLOW AS BALLS speed of your infantry. You also needed rampaging destroyer. One is now nerfed to uselessness, and the other got 100 points more expensive.
