I picked up a copy of Tales from the Loop in Sweden, 6 months before the US release. Has anyone had a chance to look at it?

I have a copy of the demo.

How do you like it so far? The skill/subskill stuff is pretty interesting, but the language "troubles, etc" was kind of annoying at first
What is this and why should I care?

A new rpg based on Simon Stålenhag's art. The rules are based on Mutant, and it has a focus on Goonies or Stranger Things styled adventures. You have as much reason to care as you would for any other game of structured pretend, as far as I know.

Okay, does it have a setting of it's own or is it an amalgamation of 80's adventure movies?

It was pretty much built on the idea of an alternate 80's suburb, with 50 pages on Boulder City, Nevada and the Mälaren islands in Sweden, but the rules work pretty well for low-stakes goonies-style adventures. Pic attached is some of Stålenhag's art, which is the basis of the setting.

The setting is a sort of quasi-1980s where research into Large Hardon Collider-style technology has created a world where shady government supertech runs parallel to conventional 1980s technology.
I'm not a big fan of the official setting, but I would like to try it out sometime for a "group of pre-teen kids get into trouble, can't let their parents find out" type of game.
anyone got a pdf?
