Well I think Trevor Belmont would make a good Paladin.

He's Lawful, he pays for his drinks and food (or tries to) even if the locals hate him. He could easily have stolen them. He's good or at least has the Judeo-Christian god on his side. Blessed weapons.

Sure the Catholic church threw his family out but in the Netflix cartoon universe, they don't get a vote even if they don't know it.

Did you forget that scene where he first sneaks into the walled city?
Was going to literally stab that innocent guard if he wasn't already asleep.

He's chaotic good, at least. Perhaps a ranger. He doesn't care for authority, but also wants to look out for the people who can't protect themselves.

>>54947656
Somehow this comment got me thinking. Where exactly does innocence end? If someone can kick all sorts of ass in combat but isn't going to attack anyone for no reason are they still innocent? Would a paladin that has fought evil monsters for years and has a kill count on the hundreds, but who wouldn't ever in their right mind dare even threaten someone who's not one of said monsters still be counted as innocent? Or does innocence implicitly imply that they are defenceless and can't cause harm?

Thought for the day. Or night, it's fucking 5 AM here and I'm starting to get delirious.
>>
>>54947736
Innocence is subjective and is frequently tied to a sort of cosmic justice. In this case innocence translated to "that guard did nothing to Trevor and had no relation Trevor's problem, this it would be unjust to kill him for he is innocent to any crime."
>>
>>54947589

>>54947184
The animation is good, but the story is like something written by a edgy teen in the early 2000s.
>>
>>54947736
An intentionally cultivated acceptance of violent strife is a grave and vicious deformity of moral character that degrades (or, at the very least, strains and potentionally compromises) individual capacity for communal association on the basis of relational equality. Which is to say, fantasy murderhobos who have killed hundreds of the guilty make bad neighbors not because they kill the guilty, but merely because they kill, and normal people do not.
>>
>>54951709
It's really not that bad.

'Edgy' is a very ill defined descriptor anyway, which is why everyone keeps arguing about this bullshit.

Thing is, I found it both terribly disjointed and weird, as well as underwhelming. Like, I was expecting absolute balls to the wall action. Was pretty disappointed in that regard.
>>
>>54952715
It's funny because Trevor is pretty much the polar oposite of the kind of character that comes to mind when you think of a paladin of noble origin.
>>
>>54953317
Yeah, which is why he'd be interesting. His family have lost everything, the church have excommunicated him, and all he's got left is the fight.

And of course the magical whip inhabited by the ghost of his ancestor.

Eh, it's Symphony's just a musical trend. Rondo of Blood, Harmony of Dissonance (also a fun contradiction), Harmony of Despair, Aria of Sorrow. Even Lament of Innocence could be an example.

>>54957410
It's a tough one.
Given his abilities are Dark Magic, I'd peg him as Warlock. As for his pact, most likely Infernal.
Fortunately, there's at least one form of Vampire as a race (from the Planeshift: Zendikar article. Still works)

He probably has picked up some martial class, for the Duelling Fighting Style.

Some spell ideas inspired by the games: Hellish Rebuke (Hellfire), Gaseous Form (Mist Form), Vampiric Touch (Dark Metamorphosis), Fireball (Dark Inferno, From Infernal Pact)

Okay, let's stick with the basics.

You've got Dracula, the vampire lord. Every hundred years he gets resurrected, his dark castle (the titular Castlevania) returns, monsters from hell start to spring forth and pillage the land.

And every hundred years, someone rises to oppose him from the Belmont Clan. Armed with their ancestral whip, they go forth to challenge Dracula within the depths of Castlevania, and destroy him to claim another hundred years of peace.

Only things get a bit more complex, you see, the reason why the Belmonts are Dracula's enemies, is because way way back, Dracula (then under a different name) tricked Leon Belmont into slaying another vampire, to gain the vampire's power. This manipulation caused Leon Belmont's fiancée to become captured, and turned into a vampire. To gain revenge, she sacrificed her soul to join with Leon's whip via alchemy, creating the ancestral Belmont Whip, the Vampire Killer.

Now, let's go a bit more complex. Dracula met a woman named Lisa, and fell in love, they lived together happily and there was peace.

Until the church burned Lisa for being a witch, and consorting with the devil (that second one's not unjustified really) which caused Dracula to get pissed, and starting his whole "slaughter everyone living" thing again.

Now, Lisa and ol' Drac had a kid, Adrian Fahrenheit Tepes, also known as Alucard. He teamed up with the current Belmont, and a magic user named Sypha, to take down Dracula.

Aaaand here's where it gets weird. You see, in the GRIM FUTURE of 1999, Dracula was finally defeated and destroyed.
Unfortunately, it's not that simple, Dracula is the lord of darkness, the incarnation of chaos. He has to exist.

So his soul was reborn as a Japanese teenager.
>>
>>54957410
Good thing this wasn't SotN. I'd have just spammed tetra spirit and soul steal until Trevor and Sypha were dead. Actually, no need, I'd have done the same to Dracula. Or the priests that arrested Lisa. Tetra spirit + soul steal just fixes everything. And I'm pretty sure he can always use them if you know how to input it on the D-Pad.

it was good until you took it to the 90s

While wearing a Pimp Coat.

No, I was making a statement about fights to the death with someone you have no idea if he's honorable or not in an environment where nobody fucking expects you to be and away from anyone who could (or would be stupid enough to care) about whether it was an honorable duel.

Obviously, if I'm having a duel in front of the fucking king and his entire court I'm not gonna try to cheat. But this was a random vampire in the depths of a dungeon, if I had a chance to push him into a wall of spikes I would.

So great, so SO fucking great.

For those who dont know, in Dawn of Sorrow, there was this mechanic, after beating the monster you had to use the gimmicky-yet-fun touch screen to draw a "Seal" to bind them so that the dark magics of Dracula's castle wouldnt resurrect them.
At some point you stumble across Julius Fucking Belmont fighting a monster. Soma confronts him "I didnt think you could bind them?"
And Belmont respond "Oh, I've just been killing these monsters before they reform"
