Sailor Moon Update!

1.1 Fixed formatting, gave the doc HD look, added clarification to some perks/drawbacks, buffed Time Key so it can stabilize big space time distortions instead of small ones, Enemy Of The Moon Kingdom drawback is now +600 CP instead of +500 CP, Another Story Drawback has your Opposito Senshi self as a companion reward for Senshi Jumpers, Finally added a scenario for evil/antihero jumpers, extended drawback limit as there was a lot more stuff one could get in this jump as compared to regular jumps, canon companions are now 200 CP, extended Drawback Limit because this jump has a LOT to offer.

It's a story about REAL WITCHES who look just like you and me ("stranger danger" and repeating the phrase "REAL WITCHES" seems to be a big theme in the novel) who are hate children because they smell like literal dogshit to them so they kill them and the protag ends up turning the Grand High Witch and all the witches into mice. It's done by the same guy who did Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. It's a pretty fun novel.

It'll be a short jump and sparse in terms of items, not very high power either. But I like the novel so I'm making a jump of it.

I call it... The All-Hammer.

It started as a simple sledgehammer that channeled my Smoke powers in InFamous.
With the Crucible in Journey to the West, it began taking on the powers and attributes of all other hammers, maces, clubs, and general heavy-smacking-objects.

In Hero BBS, it became host to the demon lord Jugganok.

It's simple, all things considered. Yet when the chips are down it's the most reliable god damn weapon I have.

A Whip. Specifically an Agonizer from 40k.

Amazing versatility in it's base form, whatwith nonlethal and lethal modes of attack. It's got rudimentary consciousness, so it can slither around much like a snake to stealthily take down enemies. Also, it cuddles.

It does, however, have some alternate forms. It can:
Mechanically straighten to become a bo staff (for lite combat and magic)
Spiritually form into a spear from bo staff config (spear is soul made manifest)
Psychically/Magically/Mechanically into an oversized key blade/sword (Large or especially dangerous enemies[/spoiler]
Mechanically/Magically into a shield

Naturally, the sword cuts through reality, every form has multiple elemental attacks, and the shield has perfect defense. Oh, and it's indestructible.

My current modus operandi is to act as a sidekick or a reliable friend to the closest thing to protagonist material I can find. If I can't, then I fill the role as best that I can and then pass off the credit to someone else.

I love the adventure. I can't stand administration, management, or long-term fame. I'd rather be back on the road again as soon as possible. Problem is that I have a bunch of 'PROTAGONIST HERE' perks that have stacked up pretty quick, so I don't get peace and quiet for long.

And suitors. Lots of suitors. Especially royal ones.

It depends on how much i as anon know about the world and also what i as jumper would do based on past experiences, companion input, and background.

For example, if i know nothing about the world, there are multiple planets, and a whole lot of people, jumper is gonna eat it. But not just after jumper is rejecting that part of himself due to past mistakes more info and writefagging coming soon So, in the current mental state of jumper, he might take over and guide, uplift, stay completely hands off, or kill everyone.

There are far more perks for enhancing swordsmanship and weird sword techniques in the chain. You can probably translate some or most of them into spear techniques with something, but it you're a lazybones like me, swords are the way to go.

I try to help and improve things when I can. Some tragedies have to happen, so that the plot can progress and characters can develop, but otherwise, I'm all for making things turn out for the better.

I also occasionally change things just for fun, like that time I retroactively made Gaara a girl when I jumped Naruto with the Dreaming of Sunshine fanfic option. Shikako was very confused, and I was very amused, until this started changing events in a way I didn't expect. On the bright side, Fem Gaara bluntly telling Naruto she likes him and asking him out WAS pretty funny in hindsight, even if it did cause both myself and Shikako to freak the fuck out at the time.

I generally try to make things better for people in most jumps.

I also generally live a double-life. One as whatever my in-jump origin is, the other as my god-self.
Since i only have to gather a small group of cultists at the start of a jump that recruit more worshippers on their own afterwards it's not that much effort..
My cult can then provide divine inpiration for better tech etc. to improve things on a large scale without all the hassle it would be for my in-jump identity.
Maximum goodness for minimum effort.
I may have motivation perks and not need sleep anymore, but at heart i'm still a lazy slacker.

Depends on how much I care about the plot, if you want me to be frank. Although at minimum I always try to help the protag even if I have no idea what's going on. In that case, I'm careful not to make things worse. At the bare bones, I just give them a power up, kick over the villain's sandcastles and take their lunch money/food, and leave.

I have different origins depending on the chain. Zephyr's chain had their origin be something like Redemption and Purity, in my first big chain it was Music and Emotion,

Your Origin is the source of your very being, at least in terms of Nasu-only metaphysics. Your instincts drive you to act in accordance to your Origin, but it's just that. Instinct. Actions and abilities that align with your Origin gain a boost, as well. It is possible to create spells based on it, or use one's own body to create magic items that utilize said Origin to actualize an effect. You can also Awaken it but that's a terrible idea.

I will likely have a Dual Origin of Revelation and Ascension once I jump Kara no Kyoukai.

One was my rebellion against the so-called Golden Kingdom in the last world. Then was the Shadow War and the War of Heroes in Archanea. The civilizations of Sword and Sorcery were too scattered to really war with each other, or involve me most of the time.

This time, I was part of history. I awake in my new life to know I am one of the younger surviving Stark siblings, alongside Eddard and Benjen. And I receive a raven notifying me that I am to head south to answer for my father's crimes, in the name of King Aerys II.

Not long afterwards, I receive a raven from my brother Eddard about the fate of our father and brother, the Mad King's crimes and his intent made clear. Acting on his authority, I called the banner of the North and quickly organized our forces. I didn't meet much resistance. I imagine that had more to do with the perks and the collective outrage at the murder of the Lord Paramount.

All things considered, not much changed. I received a reputation as a frontline commander as I cut through men like wheat during harvest, but the Rebellion largely progressed as it did in history. The Battle of the Trident was a little bit more one-sided, however.

…oh, and a mysterious arrow from across the sea managed to hit Cersei Lannister in the eye on her wedding day. And then similar to Roose. And Lord Frey. And Gregor Clegane. The continent of Westeros became fearful of these 'phantom arrows' that would fuel paranoia about assassinations for years. Which totally wasn't the result of a certain noble maxing out their supernaturally-gained Archery skill, dressing up as a peasant, and launching said arrows from the coastline. Nope. Not me.

Well there's the Morphing Weapon enchantment that comes from Dungeons and Dragons. Literally allows you change your weapon into a similar kind (one-handed, two-handed, or light) given roughly three seconds. Tweak it a little and you could get an Anyweapon pretty easily.

Or you could probably come up with something in The Elder Scrolls. The enchanting there is pretty free form and Bound Weapon is an actual spell there. Enchant the same weapon enough times and it would be effectively the same thing. Just cast whichever Bound Weapon spell imbued into it to get the one you want.

it says that taking the speedster option, the speed caps at mach 40
you also need to take a drawback that gives you a speedster nemesis. This nemesis is immune to all your out of jump powers and gets replaced by another one should you defeat him.

Now: Does that mean this nemesis caps out at mach 40 too? Otherwise that will be completely impossible

So a quick question. The adventure zone (a d&d podcast) just finished today and I am super tempted to make a jump out of it. However it would be really, really difficult to not touch on significant plot spoilers when writing a jump; so how would people want this addressed? Should I not include any spoilery content, hide it all behind a scenario, or just have a big spoiler warning at the beginning and just roll with it from there? Obviously this wouldn't become relevant until I get up off my ass and finish my other two jumps but I'd like to be able to consider this early.

I really didn’t know what to make of this place when I first arrived. There were hints of supernatural stuff here but mostly it was more people dealing with being in a dying town.

Thankfully there were a lot of quirky and interesting people in town. It was a nice place and I really didn’t want to see it die.

I also figured out I was stuck here in town by some barrier that despite my powers held me fast. I can’t help but wonder if this is how Bill Cypher felt.

So in the grand tradition of how most people with more money than sense handle things I decided to throw as much money at the problem as I could until it went away.

I used my money to buy and renovate places which created jobs, I used those new places and my knowledge of otherworld tech to start a small industrial revolution in town. Nothing major just a few better widgets than what was available elsewhere.

This created more jobs and started bringing people in to town.

Snowflame started his cocaine cult up here (he does that) and wound up clashing with some weird cult from what I hear. Apparently some people tried to kidnap him and it didn’t turn out very well. I don’t know exactly what happened to the other cult but I don’t think they will be a problem anymore.

Though I still don’t know what Snowflame meant when he said he snorted coke with an elder god. I have decided I don’t want to know either.

In my off time I restarted the band with my companions. It was fun to sing and play with them again. There weren’t any big venues to play in fact I had to build some more places for us to play at. However we were a hit for being in such a small town and filled where ever we played at. Sadly we had to turn down any contracts for anything bigger with me being stuck in town. Still it was nice being able to put on a show.

So I've gone back to looking at Dungeon Keeper.

I cut out a lot of my first attempt, and right now I've got Drop-in/Hero/Minion/Keeper for backgrounds. I'm really not sure what perks I should assign to each.

Anyone here who played the games have ideas?

Minion is probably about personal power, it's definitely going to be the combat focused origin, unless you want to go the other way and have the minion origin be imp based

This is one of those settings where I could see one background really being the way to go. Who is going to want to be a Hero when you can be a Dungeon Keeper? There's just no competition. My advice is to look at Bloodborne or Katawa Shoujo and model the jump after them. One background (Dungeon Keeper) with a pool of perks to choose from and a discount for each tier.

Perk to turn knowledge you have directly into a library, otherwise being a keeper is full of perks.

I mean keepers also can move things within their boarders. Maybe a 3d dungeon making perk, for some reason keepers only build 2d dungeons.

If interested I recommend reading dungeon keeper ami, it has neat stuf but is decidedly non canon. Also KEEPER/OVERSEER keepers are evil overseers are good. They are basically the same thing but flipped morality, as per the newest dungeon keeper game.

Perks to seed an area with gems that you can mine for more gems later maybe? Possibly an option for keepers to have their meatbodies as well as dungeon hearts?

I would say swords because there are likely more cool swords available on the chain than spears. Also Swords are probably easier to take out multiple people with than spears. However I think past a certain point you get to a point where you could slaughter an army with a spoon if you really wanted to so eventually it really will not matter.

I'm going to be honest, given a Dungeon Keeper jump, there is a zero percent chance that I opt for anything other than to be a Dungeon Keeper.

There are many other jumps where you can be a monster or hero, but few in which you can be the equivalent of a Keeper.

As such, my suggestion would be to focus the jump on being the Keeper, with perk lines focused on architecture, spellcasting, leadership and recruitment, and research (possibly).

It's been such a long time since I've read Sailor Moon fanfiction. Like. Twelve years? And my tastes were inclined to crossover fanfiction where Usagi got teleported into other places. I don't remember the exact titles from what I've read, and I don't think they'd be as high quality as my twelve year old mind remembered them.

That's the thing, I'm not a hero, but I have my morals, and that's one thing I won't do.

So I was re-familiarizing myself with Naruto because of the jump and apparently Kiri didn't kill off any bloodlines other than Kaguya and that's because they went rogue. Apparently them hunting down bloodlines is complete fanon. The civilians hated those with bloodlines but the actual village and ninja didn't.

I'm a bit surprised about how widespread this fanon is but considering the numerous Harry Potter fics that have fanon shit like magical cores or magical nobility I really shouldn't.

I wouldn't recommend it, but there's one fanfic where some other daughter is born instead of Chibiusa, and that has a...not so pleasant reaction. The kid ends up playing the role of the unfavorite, the child that's less seen as an actual daughter and more as 'the one that was born instead of Chibiusa'. And I kind of want to go to that fanfic world just so I can give the poor kid a hug and be that annoying uncle figure that actually cares about you.
