me and my friends used to play this shedding card game, where all cards in the deck are dealt plus one joker "bomb" card.
You pick a card randomly from the guy sitting to the left of you, then the guy sitting on your right picks from you. If you get pairs through picking cards, you put them down and make your hand smaller. First guy to clear out wins, and the guy who ends with the joker in his hand loses.
We called it bomb but I wanna know if it's actually based off a game or if we made it up

We played similar game but with smaller deck and we used queen of spades as the bad card. Considering simplicity it probably exists in every county at least in some form.

That's Old Maid. Might go by other names as well.
