My roommate and I have been talking about ways to work mechs and powered armor into a game of 3.5e.
So far we've just been spitballing on how the mechs would differ between races
>Dwarf mechs would be quadrupedal seige engines, preferring defense to offense with heavy use of gunpowder based weaponry
>Human Mechs would be bipedal, working as an extension of ones own body. Think pacific rim
>Elves would have bipedal mechs powered by natural magic and would rely on ranged weaponry
>Drow have spiderlike mechs and would use speed and aggression, using 8 legs to close the distance and switching to a bipedal attack mode using 6 arms to maximize damage.
>Warforged mechs are more literal extension of themselves, using their life force as a catalyst to power what is essentially a much larger warforged.
>tiefling mechs would be constructed of dark metals and powered by lava cores
>Mechs will need to be piloted by magic classes only
Has anybody here ever run/participated in a game similar to this?
Anybody have any ideas?

Speaking of, does anyone have the Dragonmech PDFs?

Dream Pod 9's Mecha Compendium
Piloted golems (Get in an iron golem and crush them with your own skill.)
Steam powered gnome war machines, because golem production rate isn't infinite.

That sounds pretty cool. How much does >>54911614
match up to it?
Well, there is that recently broadcast 'toon called "Knights and Magic" that is high fantasy and Mechs, though, same could be said with Aura Battler Dunbine / Wings of Rean.
