I just had an epiphany about blastmasters. A single blastmaster is 1d3 krak missiles that ignore cover. For 20 points. That's the equivalent of 1-3 havocs with missile launchers per turn. And that's LOUD.

Not unless it's a metallic part like the gyros or a non-black armor panel. I thin down Baharroth Blue(I used to use Temple Guard Blue and now I'm kicking myself for not using baharroth sooner, it's a way better color) with airbrush thinner and slide it into the cracks and come back to clean up with black which then gets highlighted with Dark Reaper.

I personally like (and may end up doing myself) the Heresy era vets, but i also think they should tell Cawl to fuck off in addition to girlyman. They got taken from their legion and thrown into stasis, woken only to be surgically augumented in new experimental ways that may not even work properly, possibly had friends/brothers die in the early stages of augmentations, their legion was disbanded and broken down... My favorite failed charge was Straken needing 4 inches. I rolled a 1 and 2. I re-rolled the 1 and got a 1. Then he stood out in the open like an idiot and got hit by a Missile. Nork was nearby, but he was 4 inches away, so he couldn't take any hits. Guy rolled a 5 on the D6 for damage and I failed my warlord 6+++ saves.

We have Stormtroopers but woth no mobility and shittier special weapons. They also have a 10 man cap on our units.

Our only HQ is overcosted, and lose in combat to a kitted out Captain or Cannoness.

Electropriests still die to a stiff breeze. T3 and a ++5/+++5 don't do much. They are better than before.

Our robots and Kataphrons have BS +4 for some reason.

We are officially Allies tier, unless we spam heavy support and add in Cawl.

The problem is we are so fucking slow, and so fragile. We're like Guard, but without Taurox or tanks to soak up fire.

Fairly doable, you'll need a bit over 2 onagers to do 8 damage, if you're happy with 7.11 you can just make a flat 2 neutron onagers.

Neutrons are good but they're just slightly buffed twin lascannons, on average. I wouldn't expect them to work miracles.

I'd say worse overall; I've only won about 3 games out of 10 8th games so far, and nothing seems to be working as it should. Mediocre in a edition like this means bad. We have no way to counter Moral checks besides Data tether rerolls, so if we some how survive being shot at, we can still loose some of our units.

We can't use MSU since if we want a good amount of troops, we have to spend almost 300 pnts on HQ's alone. Arc Rifles can barely do their job, Arquebuses actually do a better job, and Plasma Cal. suffer from that 18" range baddly. Not to mention how fast they can get cut down.

Also, don't forget all the random nerfs we got, like the Infiltrators loss of an attack, or the Vanguards Aura nerf.

Compared to a Termi Captain, he costs more, has a crappier Melee attack, has a shitter invuln save, and only has the healing D3 and self-heal to maje up for it.

I just find it kind of annoying that he's 250 points and grants worse re-rolls than some 150 point SM characters that grant re-rolls for all hit and wound rolls. I guess you're mostly paying for his toughness, wounds, and save.

I own AdM and my mate has nids, from the game i've played i've found that nids are a big t1/t2 threat if played right. Keep in mind, he will gunline you. I hope you have some LOS blocking terrain.

If you keep one edge tied and focus the other then you will have your friends gunline on the back foot fast as you sweep up his side.

Carnifex are good, but they will have bad day if there is a laser onager, trygon is scary and good for mindgames. Genestealers need to get in by t2, remember you can charge through ruin walls and you don't need to see your target.

His rerolls are for all to hit roll tho, so you can reroll hits that would've modified to be misses. That's pretty special iirc.

Also, very difficult to kill if you don't bring the right gear.

I haven't actually seen if GW has confirmed if he can re-roll any to hit roll in the shooting phase or if it was a misprint and was supposed to be all misses in the shooting phase and considering the editing travesty that has been almost everything in 8th so far I can't help but feel like I'm cheating by claiming it's all hits even if it's RAW.

Aspiring Sorcerers don't cost extra anymore, you just have to pay for their force weapon. Scarab Occult Terminators can't take Reaper Autocannons, only Soulreaper Cannons, dito with Rubric Marines. For the Rhino, take a Combi-Flamer instead of the Havoc Launcher. It costs the same and is more reliable. Other than that, I'd toss the Chariot and add a Herald of Tzeentch for the Battalion requirements.
