If you're into strange monsters, I'm going to recommend the nightmare horrors from Torment. This one is Faceless Butcher, who got a reprint in Time Spiral. Another favorite is Mesmeric Fiend. Masques Dark Ritual is my favorite art for that card (though Ice Age's verion is great too). It also has awesome flavor text.

As other Anons have pointed out, Mark Tedin is pretty consistently good. He's got a certain style where you know that he drew it without even looking at the artist line. I always liked Guiltfeeder, Memory Lapse, Winter Orb, and Polar Kraken.

I'm also going to agree with >>54860051 and recommend Anson Maddocks. Some of my favorites by him are the aforementioned Gaze of Pain, Disintegrate, Blood Lust, Snow-Covered Island, and Living Wall.

In general, I'd say to check out The Dark, Ice Age, and Alliances. Those sets in general have that really old-school hand-painted feel. Don't forget lands either. Lake of the Dead is another good horror-themed art I'd recommend.
