Don't make jokes about the mechanics of the game if you don't even know how to play, idiot.

You mean reminder text.
>>54859532

>>54859532
They have done exactly the same thing on one card in the upcoming commander set. It's a bit shorter but considerably thicker.
>>54853882
These tokens LITERALLY only exist because normies will XD all over them and buy shit.
>>54861015
It's cute as fuck desu. Works on me.
>>54857205
>a richer people could give more but they could never give as much
what is this i don't even
>>54861062
A richer people (nation/ethnicity) could never etc.
>>54861074
Then it's either "a richer nation" or "richer people" or "a richer person".
Also, why is there no comma after "more"?
And how does the text relate ot the card effect in any way? It sounds like a fortune cookie, especially with all the engrishy grammar.
Not my favorite, but I love it and put a copy into my wallet because of how it resemble me and my innocent smile when I look at my collection of mtg dragons.
>>54859532
I think the most suggestive part of the art is the fact that her hand appears to be cupping something, when you'd expect her to pinch the dress instead.
>>54858277
with that card you'd need 21 squirrels, no? because of annihilation
>>54855296
Classic
>>54857242

This cards reminds me how much I would love ZEN as a plane if it wasn't for the Gatewatch.
>>54861507
Great.
>>54861538
Then just ignore their cards? There were three entire sets plus the artbook which barely mentions the Gatewatch at all, its actually kind of easy to learn about Zendikar without ever hearing about them
The only plane that got overpowered by Gatewatch bullshit was Kaladesh, and as much of that was due to the Inventor's Fair gimmick as anything else
>>54859267
>Father, why does it hurt?
I am feeling on a level unfelt before.
>>54861410
I can get Emrakul before you can get 21 squirrels.
>>54861660
That is one bizarre yet intense arms race
>>54861062
>>54861074
>>54861107
Perhaps aside from the grammar, it's rather the meaning of the phrase? Maybe he didn't get that a richer party could give extravagant gifts and still be rich, but a poorer party could give a mundane item and be left with next to nothing.
>>54861660
I think it's probably easier to combo for infinite squirrels than to get 21 of them.
Good old Earthcraft + Squirrel nest can be done turn 3
>>54861062
If a rich person giving you $10 is literally nothing to them. A poor person giving you $10 is more meaningful because it's probably half of their money.
>>54861660
Couldn't they sacrifice something else?
Like forests, I mean it's a pretty bad idea, but if you're trying to attack Emrakul with a bunch of squirrels, why not go the whole hog?
>>54858277
>not Spidersilk Armor
Come man, that's trve secret tech.
>>54861258
Annihilator let's you sac any permanents, so you could pitch your lands instead
>>54862042
true, true
>>54862010
>>54862042
You're already committed to drowning an elder god beneath the fur of twenty flying squirrels, blowing up a couple of forests is a small price to pay for utterly schooling the Gatewatch in how to really save the Multiverse: be inter-planar Squirrel Girl
>>54861660
You're on.
>>54861436
>>54861480
...Funny you should mention Orks, because my Ghave Deck could HUEG this thing into a win-condition.Cathar's Crusade is disgusting, I love it.
>>54862108
>"This creature can block creatures with protection from colored spells."
That's redundant. Creature permanents aren't spells. Emrakul only has quasi-shroud and damage prevention from spells. Blocking and creature damage still affect Emrakul.
>>54862179
>my Ghave Deck can <infinite thing with tokens/counters>
So it's like every Ghave deck ever?
Mmm MMM that's some goodass flavor!
>>54862083
Except DON'T be modern Inter-Planar Squirrel Girl. The SJWS ruined her, and her fun. Squirrel Girl is no longer fun and enjoyable, and I'm not saying that because she's dating a Tranny, I'm saying that because they have removed the carefree ridiculous attitude of the series and replaced it with serious drama and poorly written SJW romance, emphasis on Poorly Written.
Seriously, when is Marvel going to learn how to write again? If you're going to push this agenda, at least give it to people who know how to do it well. Fuck' s Sake, Wizards and Gatewatch has better writing than them at this point
>>54862291
I wish this cost 2R instead. It seems to always be one turn too late.
>>54862108
>That casting cost
>Sorcery
>That memory issue on the blocking clause, let alone being improper.
Has the person that made this card ever played Magic? At all?
>>54859532
It was a change in the art about halfway through drawing. But yeah, looks like massive girldick.
>>54862345
you know, im fine with that, specially if its that insanly big, what is 30 inches?
>>54861062
Proportional generosity.
The idea is that while someone who is wealthier could offer more monetary value as an offering, it would be damn near impossible for someone that wealthy to offer an offering due to what it means to each party.
The poor man's offering means more because he is sacrificing far more on a personal level to make it.
>>54861107
"A people" when referring to a group or nation is grammatically correct. I believe it's implying that a wealthier nation could give more material goods, but could never make a more meaningful sacrifice.
>>54859267
>unintelligible beatboxing
Every fucking time.
>>54862410
From the way she's pulling it, she probably can't even walk without dragging the thing through the ground.
>>54859267
Why are they are Vindicates? That's Anguished Unmaking??
>>54864471
I think they were made during spoiler season and the spoiled card was untranslated.
Can somebody fact-check that?
>>54864573
This is indeed the case.
>>54864573
Oh damn...the irony is palpable.
>>54864740
He's not wrong.
>>54865025
He's dead wrong.
>>54853882
Not a card.lol, named clue on camera
>>54864573
>>54864724
No, it was when the art was revaled but the card was spoiled yet.
>>54861648
It's worse considering their actual exhange when this took place.
>"My child-"
>"I am not your child! I am your creation!"
>>54853882
Jace being Jace...
>>54864573
>>54865932
I had so much fun making those. We haven't had a good art leak like that for a while, so I haven't had a reason to bring it up again.
I'm still smug about how close I got the art on the crop and the set symbol.
Holaphel was fun too, even if the actual vanilla mythic is gonna be in Un3.
>>54862302
>she's dating a Tranny
wat
>>54858081
please don't let your autism ruin jokes
>tfw they only reprinted the edgy version and the new art one sucks too
Too pure for this world
>>54855194
I like that somewhere out there on the internet is a picture of a Hedron Crab shoving a hedron into a Merfolk's vagina.
>>54868690
Are you seriously shitting on kev walkers gob grenade? That art is legendary.
>>54868844
Eh, having physically owned every variant of Goblin Grenade, I'm not impressed.
It just looks lumpy and bleh. I know it's supposed to imply he's full of explosives but it still clashes with GG's core identity. The point of every Goblin Grenade "joke" is that the Goblins themselves are both willing and crazy enough to carry the explosives to the target themselves.
Then there's the Kev Walker version
You can't tell if the Goblin purposefully ate the explosives.
You can't tell if the Goblin is actually crazy enough to willingly carry the explosives.
You can't even tell how the Goblin got into the air.
You could literally take any other creature that's small/dumb (say a Beeble), stuff it full of explosives, and then launch it.
So when it comes down to it you're trying to sell me on is a lumpy goblin art that could be replaced by anything else sufficiently lumpy and full of explosives.
>b-but goblin aerodynamics!
No, that concept has already been well covered by all the "falling Goblins are dangerous" cards:
Mogg Fanatic
Stream Hopper
Goblin Kites
Siege-Gang Commander (the OG version)
Goblin Balloon Brigade
Rock Jockey
Goblin Glider
Goblin Ski Patrol
Just off the top of my head.
>>54869101
Well I appreciate the in depth response, and your reasoning showed me an aspect I was missing from your art. I still love the walker one, but I think I will pick up the OG one now in addition.
>>54869134
I can respect that anon.
Really I just love me some goblins.
>>54869148
Same! love my goblin modern deck and don krenko edh deck.
>>54857068
That flavortext would have been great if the only line of text was "Call forth the warbringer"

>>54869701
I don't get why people love Jaya but don't like Chandra since their quotes are mostly boring "I set things on fire" ones.
I mean, it's better than "Condescending remark- Blue mage" but it's still pretty bad text compared to something like bolt.
>>54858081
It says "fight back", you nigger. As in the squirrels are the attacking creatures.
>>54869490
>>54869701
>>54869809
>tfw only got into magic around the return to innistrad
>never got to see any of these cards in person
>have the quipwatch instead
a shame, because jaya sounds like a blast
>not all heroes die in armor
>grace is always a gift, never a reward
>I understand your fears, pity your doubts, and absolve you of both.
>>54870174
If that's the case then Emrakul can't even block all of them anyway
>>54861848
Plus the enchantment creature that makes your stuff the only stuff that can fly.
>>54868375
Fun fact: Bring Me To Life wasn't intended to be a duet, but the studio were adamant as it'd be more marketable. Evanescence were recording in the same studio as Linkin Park at the time, and Mike Shinoda was offered the male part, but turned it down. Chester encouraged Amy Lee to stick to her guns, but the studio wouldn't budge, refused to release the song unless it was a duet, and found a different guy to perform on the song.

>>54855296
I have no idea why people post shit like this and Gorilla Titan in their favorite flavor text threads. Are you being ironic? Do you like it because of the ludicrosity of the idea that someone was paid to write it? Do you have a terminal case of shit taste?

My Personal favorite card to sum up Phyrexian "Philosophy"
Almost all of the literary quotes in A/B/U were things that I just had to read out loud whenever I played the card. Wish they still did that.
Sometimes I looked up the original text just to read it in context.
>>54861062
A homeless guy finds $5 on the street and gives it to a child.
A Rich man gives $5 to a child
Who gave more?

>favorite card to sum up Phyrexian "Philosophy"
I prefer this one.
They're basically combination Borg-Cenobites.
>>54869359

There are gods with lower stats than raptors.

>>54860337
It's called a joke anon.
>>54853882
I swear, if I could I would get this shit hung up on my wall. Looming Shade is best shade, and the newer versions with that ghosty-looking thing are a disappointment.
>>54872275
considering angry mob starts a 2, that mob is maybe five people at best.
I'm looking for a specific card. An Artifact Creature with flavor text along the lines of "Please keep hands away from sides, top, back and front of the dangerous machinery"
>>54874941
Do you know what set/sets it was from? I'm trying to find it, but no luck so far.
>>54875063
No clue.
The flavor text was more like
"Please keep limbs and appendages away from front of machine while operating.
Please keep limbs and appendages away from sides of machine while operating
Please keep limbs and appendages away from top of machine while operating
Please keep limbs and appendages away from underside of machine while operating"
Not exact wording, but it hat that repetition format, and the machine had some threatening name that a cartoon villain gives his death machine.
>>54874941
I knew I recognized the flavor text. Pity it was a horrible overcosted card
Here's a dumb meme that I like.
>>54853882
I enjoy this card, if only for the sheer coolness of the ideas it invokes.
>>54870060
>I don't get why people love Jaya but don't like Chandra
Set all of their quotes side by side and you will understand, child.
>>54872736
Holy shit that is a sick shade.
>>54875311

I just fucking love this.
>>54862291
Fuck me I laughed
>>54875578
>having to use ad hominem
They're both uninteresting characters, their quotes aren't creative or funny, they're always boring one liners and the only red characters people remember. You needing to use child just shows it's most of time just nostalgia anyway.
>>54869433
That's pretty deep and beautiful. I like this flavor.
>>54861062
Pagan heathen detected.
>>54876329
>mono white
>pagan
It's the color of angels man, it's from far as pagan as you can get
>>54876809
I think he means not getting it is an indication of pagan heathenism.
Because there's a bit in the bible with the same morale.
"I belong to no one... but they belong to me."
>>54872013
Personally I like raging goblin because I find it to the point and a little humorous while I also relate to it a little and find it sums of this angry little goblin perfectly. I feel like I know him.
