I've been thinking of running a campaign based on Made in Abyss, but I cannot set on a system. Does /tg/ have any suggestions?

Why invent a system for something that runs out of the box using D&D?

I don't want to invent any system, sorry if I misworded it, but rather choose one.
I figured D&D was a very viable option, but it kinda feels OSRish, at least what I understand by OSR as I haven't had the change to play it. What edition would you recommend?

Yeah, this is pretty much just a regular Dungeon crawl with a few setting specific artifacts and abilities. Even the curse of the abyss is just something the Gm can hand-wave with a saving throw.
>Try to travel upwards
>Make a saving roll
>DC depends on how strong the force field is in this area.
>Failure effect depends on what level of the abyss you are on.
>Success gives you a weaker version of the effect, unless the force field is weaker than normal, in which case nothing happens.

Not that anon, but I'd probably use something like B/X or even maybe even S&W Whitebox. You're going to going to have to add in some of the setting stuff, so you'd probably want to choose a game with as little going on in terms of mechanics as possible.
