Those of us who have read the Horus Heresy know that the emperor hated the concept of religion and even rejected the word bearers worship of him and lead everyone on to believe that he was just a very powerful man. however to this day we see things that happen that seem a bit too much of a miracle to say that it is mere chance. take Saint Celestine for one. she was the poster girl for the church, then she died. and was brought back to life miraculously but claims it twas the GOd Emperor who resurrected her and is also one of the most powerful psyckers to have ever lived. discuss if the Emperor of Mankind is a God/ divine being or just an overpowered goldilocks. go.

Eldar gods died. Old Ones died. Eisenhorn book has potentially dead 5th chaos god's funeral planet. The form of the divine in 40k isn't the form of the divine as Christians use it. They're linked to the world in a way that has effects on them as oppose to exterior and still connected through ineffable holy trinity.
