This move is an actual move, known as the question mark kick (named because your foot more or less traces a question mark) and while it can be quite devastating, it's less because it's a pro wrestling "power attack" and more because it is actually a feint that makes your opponent think you're going for a leg kick, and then they suddenly get kicked right in the face. If you're not prepared for a head kick, it's very likely you're going down.
