If I use secondary style against Cally Lynx, I have only to spend one energy point to change the fight against Emily from a Draw to a Victory. The other fights I win all by one victory and one draw. I suppouse it would be more dramatic if the order of enemies were reversed, going from easiest fight to the hardest (with the rival). As a reward I would problably choose Master All You Survey.

I liked very much the choice of images of this CYOA, but I was hoping for more personal information on the enemies on the second page for more dramatic purposes.

Well not exactly. "Uncivilized" doesn't mean "evil". In the case of trolls it's their regeneration that makes them ugly. A civilized troll isn't taking significant damage, so they aren't regenerating and getting all tumor-faced. An adventuring or wild troll might not be evil, but still get into a lot of fights, or an evil troll might not get into fights at all.

Anyone read In the Company of Giants, from Rite Publishing? The troll sounded a lot like the Vird/Osoem split, to me.
I also like to think that the reason no troll can use magic, is because they already are. Their magic hardwired directly into their regeneration, and because of this, the state of the soul channeling that magic significantly effects the body that it is repairing. It has a passive effect, because a healthy body is constantly replacing old cells, thus constantly changing.
As the troll ages, their magic gets more powerful, thus letting it maintain a larger body without it just collapsing on itself due to the square cube law. This effect seems to plateau at the twenty five feet mentioned in the description, though there really isn't an indication of when that happens.

Just my headcannon, though. I'm not the author.

I think I might have been underestimating Arma a tad (and I already thought it was the best thing ever). Arma B doubles your strength when wielding your weapon. Arma S doubles your base strength, effectively quadrupling your weapon damage. Thematic:Arma doubles BOTH of those, effectively quadrupling your damage again. Finally, picking a Sword-type weapon doubles the effective damage yet again, leaving you at 32x base strength, which I will assume to be S-rank.

I could get Scale B by sacrificing Warp C and Flexibility C in my build. Not entirely sure I want to do it though. Warp C is pretty major combined with Agility S. Flexibility C isn't that big an issue (it just lets me throw in some cool acrobatics and kicks), but Scale C won't get me anywhere by itself.

For a totem, I want something that I can carry without fear of it being stolen. If someone is going to fight me for my totem good fucking luck to them, but I don't want something that they can pickpocket. To that extent, a piercing seems logical. Not that I HAVE to wear it if I want to hide it, but if I am wearing it no one is going to steal it without my knowledge.

I want to note that if someone does manage to get hold of my totem, I have to protect THEM, but that doesn't stop me from hurting everyone and everything they care about.

Three. One, you can't use any magic, unlike most of the other options. Two, people have a very low opinion of trolls in general. You'd be pretty unique as a non-dumb, not-violent troll (along with optional troll waifu), and so there would be prejudices to deal with constantly. Three, it's more than just "being a dick". What "civilized" means is somewhat up to interpretation, but in my mind adventuring and killing things for treasure is not civilized, so it somewhat limits your options if you want to be pretty. If you intend to live a peaceful life, and don't mind the lack of magic, then it's a pretty top tier pick.

I was summoned into a stormy night, covered in guns and duffels, by a bunch of bored archaeologists who decided to try out a ritual they found for shits and giggles because the giant wargs that were circling their outpost had them trapped and the storm was intense enough they couldn't be flown out.

My starfaring not-centaur people have been at peace since the early agrarian developments. Their homeworld is more of a deathworld, and cooperation was so highly evolutionarily pressured that everyone is part of the in group.

This is lucky for me, because I'd get bored otherwise. They don't fight wars with each other - they fight wars with the wildlife, which makes Australia look like a nice city park. This has been the case on all the worlds they've found so far - no other sentients yet, but enough ornery megafauna to put Avatar to shame.

At around six stories tall and packing firearms with 3' bores, I've yet to run into anything that comes up much higher than my waist - or will stand up to what is essentially a giant direct fire mortar, in pistol or rifle form. Ammo is fairly easy for them to replicate, and I think eventually they'll make me to scale proper weapons.

I'm also lucky that they have ships big enough to haul all my shit, and on top of that I can shrink down and actually move around during the trip.

I get most of my use on the frontier worlds where they haven't established themselves yet and my utility as both a wildlife deterrent and an all-in-one heavy lifting device is at its peak.

one day I'll go home. But until then, these guys have a fascinating history and techbase for me to learn while I'm here. In my off hours.

Never in my life did I ever see a fat man move like he did. I managed to work my way through and around most of his attacks, but that weird thing he did with his palms in the second round caught me off guard.

There was a lesson I had forgotten about, and I remembered it in the middle of that fight. Never underestimate who you're up against. I couldn't even see what she was doing half the time, but I sure felt it. Luckily, in the second round, she went for something big, but whatever she was trying to do, she never got a chance to.

Fighting him made me really appreciate Vincent teaching me the Counter Engine style. I managed to reverse and counter nearly every hit he threw at me, and I'm damn glad he never got a clean hit on me, because I'm pretty sure I saw some concrete break when he smashed into it, and that was after I redirected his attack.

The first damn thing that he did when he stepped into the arena was give me that smug grin of his. For him, this was just another one of our matches, same as the ones we've always had. I can't say that I was thinking any different. I'd like to say that I broke the tie in that match, but we ended up with another stalemate.Whoever was judging those fights called it my win, but it sure didn't feel like one. When they called out the results, he just turned to me and gave me that same smug grin, and told me that he'd win the next one.

His blows bore great strength behind them, and his special was quite aggressive, but that easily played into my fighting style. A number of counters, and one sharp blow to his sumo gut, and he was out-cold. Was hardly a fight in truth.

"Hard Fought Victory!" (-1 Energy)
We seemed to be trained in the same ways, our attacks matching blow for blow. Even our specials matched blow for blow. After what seemed like hours of counters and stalled trading of blows, Max fell to his knees and passed out. I was exhausted, but quite satisfied. 'Aunt' Andrea couldn't even contain herself once it was finally over and done with. On to round 3!

"Victory Through Attrition!" (-1 Energy)
The 'King' rightfully earned his title. His normal swings were easy enough to counter and block, but his special nearly put me out of comission. He broke a few of my damn ribs with that club of his, but I managed to get crafty. I countered a swing of his fist while he prepared for his next special and broke his arm. With his special crippled, he had a harder time landing it effectively, and it turned into another blow trading match. With the arena soaked in blood and both of our bodies worse for wear, I finalized my victory with my special to his face while he was hacking some blood. I think I saw Andrea show concern as the fight turned bloody, but she was also cheering her heart out after such a tight match. With the Champion belt in sight, I stepped forward to achieve victory in the final round!

Dee and I go to the same high school, and we were best friend before the tournament. I loved her fiery spirit, her drive for justice, and her eccentric attitude followed by profuse apologies. We fell out of touch with the tournament preparations. I wish Andrea could of trained us both. With that said, we both promised to fight each other in the final round, I just never expected it would actually happen. The final two fighters for a multi-dimensional tournament go to the same high school, what are the odds?

Joking aside, Dee was by far my toughest opponent. Self-teaching herself a special that matches my own, and teaching herself a speed style that is pretty damn powerful too, I was pushed into a tight. We fought hard, her fists pummeling me as I tried my best to counter her. Many traded blows and specials later, we both stood face to face, exhausted and worn bare. She kept apologizing after each blow, and we could not keep from talking casually to one another as the fight drew on. Eventually, I confessed my love, and she was awe struck. She smiled and nodded. She said she wanted to finish this so we could finally be together. I agreed, and we traded specials one last time. She fell unconscious, the announcer declared me the victor, and I followed suit in passing out onto the arena.

After becoming the master of my realm, I took on Dee as both my student and girlfriend. Life became a little more complicated, being a master to all martial art in the world, but I was happy with the way it all turned out.

That sounds like a SEVERE overreaction to me. At worst, you can probably get away with backing up all of the self contained files (eg images, documents etc) and then reformatting the computer. It's very, very rare for those kinds of things to be infected in some way as to cause an actual problem as long as you don't go around changing them to .exe or something.
