Do all these new Rick and Morty screencaps mean that Season 3 is finally out?
>>
>>54784452
Yes. S3E1 was streamed online on April 1st, exactly a year and a half after the end of season 2, which this img is from. then a bit of a break, now we're back into it with S3E2 & S3E3 out.
>>
>>54784521

I will probably end up waiting until the whole season is out and then binge it all at once.

>>
>>54784423
Haven't hit there yet, but in my current campaign, my character is working on it. Purely for his own safety. My DM says it's possible, but the campaign is taking place in Greyhawk's universe, and dude has been DMing since before D&D existed, so he's got that real old-fashioned idea of difficulty. So I'm sure it's not happening.

I like Rick and Morty because it makes me laugh, which Xavier fails to do.

>They fired all the male writers and replaced them by female writers with no qualifications for season 3.
>This is true.

If you say so. Other, more correct people would say that they hired three female writers in addition to their three male writers, so now they have the three male writers and three more female writers, for a total of six writers (three male writers and three female writers).
>>
>>54784971
Look, man.

Fact 1: Season 3 has a huge drop in quality. Most people say that this last episode, particularly, was the worst Rick and Morty ever aired.

Fact 2: They fired all the men and replaced them by women without qualifications. This is easily checkable on the net.

Both of those facts are true. Both of those facts are readily available on the internet. You believe what you want, mate. You think what you want, make the connections between those two facts as you want. I won't try to force you to use your brain. Just be aware of those two objectively true facts.

>Fact 2: They fired all the men and replaced them by women without qualifications. This is easily checkable on the net.

www.thedailybeast.com/rick-and-morty-creators-how-hiring-female-writers-made-season-3-the-best-yet

>Part of that renewed creative energy, Harmon says, came from a gender-balanced writers’ room, the first in the show’s history. “We had that for this season and I thought the results were really good because it meant that both the men and the women could increase their attention on Beth and Summer [Morty’s mom and teenage sister],” Harmon explains. In a room of three men and three women, “nobody represents any gender because if nobody outnumbers anybody else, then nobody’s an ambassador to anything.”

Weird. After checking the net, it seems they doubled their writing staff by hiring three women.

>>
>>54785215

>>
>>54785267

>>
>>54785231

Not here to argue that they fired all the males, but the idea that they just added 3 females to the 3 men that were already there is not quite true. So to imply that the change in quality is not due to the change in writers is probably also not true

It isn't really a thing given that gods strictly speaking aren't in existence, only broad constellations representing ideologies and their powers. Faith without faces, as I put it.
However, physical near-gods are fair game. The "last dragon", an omnipitent ur-being, was so powerful his death still has shockwaves of eldritch power decades later.
My character, a paladin fighting for an extreme idea of a greater good, skirted his personal convictions and lied to the queen of all fey to gain a portion of her power. He broke his oath in the process but it seems like a fair trade given what's at stake- and in this world it's about as close as one gets to godhood.

Wade Randolph 2013 to 2015

They signed up a bunch of new writers with very little experience (annoying orange writer) between seasons and it shows. It really really shows.

>Pickle Rick approached by a cat
"Cat! Do not eat me! I know that cats hate pickles because they confuse pickles with snakes, but I promise you I am not a snake, which you hate, I am a pickle."

And in Episode 2...
Morty: Aww Jeeze giant mutant arm, killing people really helps me blow off steam during my parents divorce.
5 minutes later
Morty: Aww Jeeze giant mutant arm, killing people really helps me blow off steam during my parents divorce.

Writing is all about saying something without really saying it, but these new writers are handling topics with all the subtly of a giant murderous mutant arm.

How do you define "done nothing wrong" and how do you diferentiate it from "people I don't like", because the Left s notoriously bad at doing that. I mean, just look at all the shit CNN has been landing themselves into.

In the denouement of my last big campaign quite a few of the players achieved some sort of diety.

The emporer, who was also the prophet of a forgotten spider god, sacrificed himself to summon his god to stop an archlich and an enslaved dracolich from destroying his kingdom and save his son. He became the first spidereinherjar fighting them alongside his god for eternity.

Of the rest, a few players died fighting the lich, and the rest flew off to fight 3 of the horsemen of the apocalypse, having beaten famine earlier in the campaign.

The homunculus, after killing War, stayed behind to hold off Conquest while the wounded party regrouped. Conquest revealed that he was actually a plan across decades by War to become the greatest warrior. He later fused with his series of 66 autistically dedicated swordsmen and became War.

The half dragon and giant spider agreed to let the two remaining horsemen reshape the world.

The Lich was evil since he did the ritual, and the demon bound to him (unrelated) survived the cleansing, theyll, come back as the last Old demon if I ever revisit the setting.

I think what Anon means by "select few" is wealthy business people and his own friends and family. Which puts him somewhere between being a Oligarchal leader and a Despot, though the latter can be explained by the fact his friends and family are also wealthy oligarchs. His policies thus far have mostly helped the wealthiest in the country and any laws that he's passed that actually affect the common citizen have either negatively affected them (trans-ban, muslim-nation-ban, revoking anti-pollution laws) or cemented biases of those who don't know better.

I played in a vampire requiem game ages ago.
I was a grumpy bookshop owning occultist, and a member of the Ordo Dracul.
They tasked me with infiltrating and dismantling a cult to a reality-horror called the Broiling Chaos.
I worked my way up their ranks, gaining a variety of strange abilities by membership with them... and eventually I murdered their leader and his loyalists and took control.

The most potent ability of the cult was mine now. "Form of the Broiling Chaos", it involved an Int+Occult roll which would grant me some limited shape-shifting abilities for a length of time determined by my roll.

So, we're out doing our thang. The city is on a collision course for the spirit realm, the walls of reality are weakening and we're looking for an NPC who we believe has answers on how to fix this.

I activate Form of the Broiling chaos, intending to climb a building. I roll...

Bare in mind that in the WoD system 5 successes are an exceptional success.

I rolled 15 successes.

My shapeshifting is insanely better than before. I'm automatically growing extra limbs for the climb, while my skin turns invisible. Everything I say my character wants to do just... happens. I grow the right parts for it. Not sure how long this will last. DM doesn't want to tell me...
Other weird things start happening, including an Alter Ego my character utilised a few times walking into the room *with* my character, but I chalk it up to that whole reality apocalypse thang.

We go to a hospital we believe the NPC to be in. I tell the DM i start looking for him...

The walls between myself and the NPC part.

What the actual fuck.

So, finally, I try to commune with the Broiling Chaos. Try to figure out what's happened.

It's not there.

I didn't just channel it.

I ate it.

I am a god.

And it was at the moment of realisation that the DM asked for my character sheet.

I carried on the rest of the campaign playing Warren, the alter-ego my initial character had used, birthed into reality.

It isn't something to argue. It happened. If the lot of them are guilty, they should hang. Hell old Paul's house just got raided

> national intelligence agencies all agree Russia interfered
> multiple high level Trump officials reveal they had meet with Russian officials or agents
> President fires FBI director, tries to investigate special counsel, gets butt hurt when Senate introduces a law SPECIFICALLY TO stop him
Sounds real innocent. And you fucking sheep continue to defend his bullshit. So fucking pathetic. It's probably because deep down you know it's true, and you realize how fucking sad you are for rigging your horse to this piece of shit

I think you're being a abit defensive here. I voted for the only viable non corrupt candidate out of the bunch, and even Johnson was weird and abit out there.

Both the republicans and democrats are eating themselves in this post election insanity. So just fucking snap out of it and realise that people who disagree with you politically are not the fucking devil.

Russia put out fake news that was anti hillary. That counts as interfering with the election. Trump is a megalomaniac who fires people if they wrong him, or upset him, or he wants them replaced with his friends. It doesn't mean that he won because of russia, just that russia wanted him to win. One does not indicate the other chucklehead.

And if you think Clinton would be any less corrupt with getting rid of investigators over her scandals you should read about the last clinton presidency and hillarys many scandals.

>Mfw people on either side thinks they're the good one and the other side's the devil

They both suck, you're arguing over which shit tastes the best. They're both shit, and funny enough neither of them are even the worst shits we've had as president.

Trump's a chucklefuck but at least he addresses some of the issues other candidates wanted to ignore, or at least pretends to.

Hillary knew what she was actually doing, sort of, but she was a detestable cunt.

Both are hilariously corrupt.

Why are we even arguing this? The real sheep are all of you who either candidate was a good choice. So much so that you're arguing about it months after the election's over. Move the fuck on, whatever happened to when everyone did their own thing and didn't drag politics into everything unless they were /pol/tards trying to derail a thread?

I didn't hate episode 3 but I thought it was a bit shit that nothing seemed to really be gained from the episode, especially since they seemed to undo everyone's realisations about how to deal with their issues from ep2 (Beth excluded because she wasn't there)

Free propaganda of foreign agents is the very cornerstone of democracy, haven't you heard?

If you don't political discussion think this was started by /pol/-posters you need to go back and read the thread again.

Oh shit wait you can't, they deleted their comments. Clever girl.
>>
>>54797812
Can't even read what you were trying to write you spastic mongoloid.
>>
>>54797769
If it was a discussion about the political implications of godhood being achievable in a setting, using real world examples and problems, then that applies. But once you hit a /pol/ tangent off an existing thread derail that really loses all relevance.
>>
>>54797738
>russia

haha
>>
>>54797769
>they don't shed their political opinions at the door
See, that's your problem. People come to non-/pol/ boards to discuss non-/pol/ things. When you react to some other retard who's off-topic you are no better than him, and just end up sitting up the thread. And when called out on it, you resort to the kindergarden-tier excuse of 'He started it'. Learn some basic human decency and don't shit up conversations with things that don't belong in them. This has been common courtesy since the dawn of civilisation, so you can't even say it's some leftist propaganda to oppress you.
>>
>>54797793
Well, since the experts from USA told us he was a great democrat, and that democracy triumphed - and i have no reason to disbelieve them - it certainly was
>>
>>54794784
Further evidence that conservatives in America would eat a shit sandwich with cum dressing if it would piss of the liberals. You don't have a platform anymore. You just want to make "libtards" mad, and you'll do any self destructive shortsighted inane thing to continue it.
>>
>>54798036
You just described populist politics, which is not limited to one party or sadly to America for that matter.
>>
>>54797359
"Whataboutism", as in "What about Clinton?" Is an old tactic. It was a key point of the propaganda machine of the USSR to deflect criticism. When people would point out the crimes of the Soviet government, they would bring up less severe or hypothetical scenarios in the western world.

Clinton isn't president. She is not under fbi investigation for treason. Her campaign did not meet with a hostile foreign power to discuss the repeal of important sanctions in exchange for wealth. It's not equivalent.
>>
>>54798140
I see it as more of partisan ignorance of peoples parties and political candidates. If you want to argue that trump is terrible because of his corruption, that comes from a very weak point if you supported hillary despite her own corruption. It shows that corruption in of itself is not an issue with you, and only a tool to be used against your opposition.
>>
>>54798095
I don't know man. I'm fairly liberal, but I never vote for or do something to make the other side mad. I try and support candidates and policies that help people. I support immigration because it is good for the economy and people deserve a chance for a better life, not because it annoys red necks. I am pro choice because I believe in body autonomy and not letting religion dictate domestic policy, not because it makes the religious right angry. I want a tax code and in general a country that doesn't punish the poor, one with health care and education available to all that seek it. If that makes the conservatives mad, then I think there is an impassable divide.
>>
>>54798251
Good for you. Sadly you are not the average voter. (Or more precisely the kind of people who would do that go out and actually vote this time around because of the global crises that are piling up lately.)
>>
In our Edge of the Empire game, we had a PC ascend to become the god-like BBEG by willingly fusing with an ancient evil in a bid for power. Props to the player for taking his character to the end. DM treated the whole thing like a season finale, and the next session started on a time skip with that player having rerolled.
