Plague Marines have a datasheet in Codex: Chaos Space Marines, where it lists them as having two more special weapons to choose from (Plague Belcher and Plague Spewer) and four more melee weapons to choose from (Mace of Contagion, Flail of Corruption, Bubotic Axe and Great Plague Cleaver). We know the costs for the new guns, but nobody has seen fit to leak the costs of the melee weapons yet.

This new codex has made me gravitate to them because their signature ability to fall back and unload is fucking cool and it perfectly encapsulates the image I have in my mind of how marines play.

Marines wouldn't stand around in a losing fight with a superior assault foe, they'd fall back and unleash their weaponry.

Also, do you guys want a batrep even if I forewarn you that my army is either badly painted or in the process of being stripped and repainted to a new scheme? It was my first army, and that does mean that most of it is black currently as I try to fix my mistakes.

Hmmm, that's a tough one.
Get some crabs with the iccarus array for sure, it will murder the units with FLY. I'd also suggest getting some marines to be able to use a libby with null zone, that will fuck up daemons day. Charge them in with some punchy beep boobs/infiltrators (for big stuff and hordes respectively) and watch as the tears start to flow.
SoS would also definitely be a good choice if you want to list tailor like that
