Imagine the Tau quality if life without the ethereals ?

shockingly little is told as most of the farsight fluff is about the man himself rather then the nation he founded, a bit of a pity as they exist as a break away from normal tau society and that deserves more expounding upon.

we can assume he'd eschew with the cast system and many of the tau in his enclaves are inter cast mongrels, these mutt Tau may actually have better mental balance then their pure breed counterparts, they may also vigorously study other cultures and integrate elements they like into their burgeoning society, this is of course very experimental and not without risk, but the tau of this world might be much more versatile and less rigid

Very similar to the Tau empire. He never abandoned the ideal of sacrificing yourself for the great good and minimalizing senseless slaughter.

The only things he really fought against and tried to remove from the enclaves is Ethereal worship, and the caste system. It implies intercaste breeding was accepted.

Considering farsight is an addition because having the ethereal being sanity units for the empire didn't rub GW's tau fetishist the right way.
Its probably super great with supreme standards of living, liberty and protection.

It'd be like DnD writers didn't feel the positive energy wasn't GOOD enough with the whole cancer problem so they went out and created SUPER positive energy, which is flawless and literally the same thing.
