OK /tg/, what were the gateway books that got you into /tg/ stuff? For me, it was the five-book Merlin series. My mom bought me the books at the book fair when I was in like 4th grade and I absolutely loved them.

I actually ended up designing a card game based on them that I made for years and recently dug up again. The rules are a mess, but good memories.

The Last Apprentice inspired most of my low-magic campaigns. I just love how the occult was handled in those books.
