A while back I saw a playable race posted in a thread from a sourcebook, the race was a worm gestalt, wore gloves and a mask, often traders, had a feat/innate skill which let them hide objects in their bodies. Similar to a pc version of "the worm that walks". I've been throwing booleans at google and can't turn it up. Anyone know the race in question? Thanks in advance.

That pic is from an enemy in a 3.5e book and was not playable, sorry anon.
Lesser Worm that Walks is a template that can be applied to anything and gives you this.
I don't know anything about a race though.

Can you at least say what specific system it was for?

"Worm That Walks" is from dnd 3.5's 'Epic Level Handbook', page 228-230.
It is a monster, and also a template.

I wish I could, I will be damned if I know which sourcebook the scan posted was taken from. The image may have been black and white, but it's unclear in my memory. It was definitely fantasy, and my closest guess would be pathfinder or d&d. Given the number of supplements I don't feel that will be of much use... I believe it was a recent supplement book. Specifics I can recall are:
Gestalt worm bodies,
often work as traders,
wear robes, masks, and gloves to make their appearance less unsettling,
seen appearing to hold hands when actually exchanging information directly by linking consciousness.
They have a racial trait allowing them to hold objects of a certain size in their bodies,
a bonus to melee attack evasion due to body composition allowing blades to penetrate without damage.
The image I initially posted is merely similar, this wasn't a homebrew. Definitely a scan from an official supplement. Been driving me crazy trying to remember.

Again, it seems the initial image caused a bit of confusion. It was _not_ worm that walks, nor player template. Distinct race. Did they revive Cifal as a race? Bah...
Slaughth?
OP here, thanks all for trying. Not worth digging farther on this past the eight hour mark.
It is in the same dragon magazine issue that has shit like dagon thralls and other star spawn.
I can not remember but I think there was an npc class that turns you into worm that walks.
