I'd disagree. Elf meat on its own is pretty bland while also somehow being quite delicate in what natural flavoring can actually be found. You have to really know your spices and wine pairings if you want to avoid overpowering the meat. Worse still, despite being similar in size to humans, elven meat is pretty lean much like at of a rabbit. There's a distinct lack of marbling which I believe largely contributes to the blandness. Ultimately I'd say that elves aren't worth the effort of plucking out of their trees for much more than their bone marrow and blood, both of which can be used to make a surprisingly rich broth.
