In Germany we have that traditional boardgame called (pic_related)"Mensch, ärger dich nicht! " (Man, don't be vexed!) Does that game even exist in your culturally common boardgameroaster? I'm curious
>>54736061
That's called Sorry! in the US.
>>54736061
In dutch it's called mens, erger je niet. That is obviously a name similar to the german one.

I've heard it being called Ludo in english. (brandname or localised variant?)
Additionally, I know of a version played with a deck of playing card instead of d6 called keezen (or something like that)
Do German's not have the pop-o-matic bubble?
>>54736083
Sorry! isn't really the same game since it's card based and has few different rules, they're pretty similar though.
>>54736061
It has different names in different countries (It's literally named "Chinese man" (Chińczyk) in poland for some fucking reason), as far as I know it's called "Ludo" in english.
In poland it's probably the most common board game.
>new fanged racing games of chance
Mind telling me what's wrong with The Royal Game of Ur?

>It's literally named "Chinese man" (Chińczyk) in poland for some fucking reason
It's also called (or used to be) "Człowieku nie irytuj się" which is pretty much what the OP said.
>>54736061
In France, it's called "Petits Chevaux" ("Little Horses")

Looks very similar to Trouble.

Pachisi?
>>54738485
I was thinking Parcheesi as well.
>>54736083
Hmm. Sorry! doesn't look quite like I remember, but it's obviously in the same family of games.
>>54737607
I thought I'd played Trouble, but this doesn't look very familiar.

Sort of yes - Ludo was supposed to be a brand name but vultures are named Ludo something or other so it couldn't be trademarked or Copyrighted.
I also don't think Ludo is played the same way, if this stuff about drawing cards is involved.
What the fuck is Stratego! ? All I know about it is when you move a peice you have to shout "Stratego!" but are there any other rules?
>>54739147
Stratego is a way different game.
It's about memory and setup bullshit.
You put all your chits down so only you can see them.
(6 Bs, 8 2s, 5 3s, 4 4s, 4 5s, 4 6s, 3 7s, 2 8s, 1 9, 1 10, 1 S, and 1 F)
(some sets do the numbers the other way around)
Each go, you can move one chit one space.
Bs and Fs can't move, 8s move like rooks.
Capture a piece by moving into it. Both are revealed, larger number wins.
Mutual capture on ties. Ss win on your go (except against B's), and lose on your opponent's.
Only 3s can capture B's.
You win by capturing your opponent's F.

>8s move like rooks
*2s

Hush Finkleman, you know that only you and I play The Royal Game of Ur, and you are the one who made up the rules.
>>54738786
A very jewish game.
>>54736252
Man whenever I read something in dutch I'm surprised how similar it is to scandinavian. No translation required there.
As for op's question it looks like what we call ludo in Norway.
