I slapped together some shit for alchemist related to the Launching Crossbow, as well as Alchemical Pellets. The pellets are just "non-splashing" versions of splash weapons made at half price. They're treated as both ammunition and splash weapons for how things affect them, so they can be drawn as a free action but still get an Alchemist's bonus to splash weapons. Also slapped together some other shit, mostly alchemist stuff, though the document I'm keeping everything together in could stand to get a better name.

the trick with guns is that you have to take amateur gunslinger to get quick clear, and you don't automatically start with proficiency. You also need to take gunsmithing at some point, and pick up a gunsmithing kit so you can make bullets. Past that, it works as well as a crossbow.

Basically, yes. A one level dip in gunslinger will cover all this.

There's only one archetype that works for Int stuff for gunslinger though; and it's third party.

Can't be done. Deflect arrows takes the hit and completely negates it. You can't nat-20 it. You can't use an auto-hit strike like the Tempest Gale maneuver (level 8 iirc). That attack is gone. Doesn't matter what you did, it's just gone.

You need multiple attacks.

Although if you play mythic then it's completely hopeless since mythic combat reflexes means they'll never run out of smash-from-the-air so full attacks and spells won't work either.

You don't technically need Quick Clear. The Jury Rig spell allows you to ignore the broken condition on your gun, and the Two-World Magic trait can get you mending to more permanently reverse misfire shenanigans once you're out of combat.

Plus having the option to get +4 AC vs other ranged attacks is something the Magus could really use if they're going ranged themselves. Plus if you're going ranged having 12-14 Wis isn't all that hard to get, and combining Gunslinger with Magus spells makes it a lot easier to get kills with spell damage on top of gun damage.

there's also the fact that magus can, with a bit of work, pick up Abundant Ammunition, maybe even use it to make an enchanted pouch with it.
