This will be a RP focused campaign, heavily modified system based around the novel series "The Divine Dungeon" with books like "Dungeon born" and "Dungeon madness" Try to familiarize yourself with some parts of the books, as it supplies explanations to everything that will be different.

The world has been ravaged 50 years ago by a sudden influx of arcane wells of Mana, horribly mutating people and wildlife around them and creating monsters that roam free, giant constructs move across the land as tall as thirty stories, made of various elements. The remains of society are a handful of large cities outside of the patrols of the constructs, becoming a newly steampunk society as they try to fight back to reclaim their taken land.

In SPIRIT LINES, inspired by The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, the kingdom of New Hyrule depends upon its railways, powered by the sacred light of the Tower of Spirits in the heart of the realm. Recently, malevolent demons have started to attack the railways. The efforts of courageous heroes who guard the trains have turned the tides against the demons. Yet there are rumours that the attacks are only growing worse, and that something more sinister lurks on the horizon.

The job, though dangerous, pays well. Whether for glory or for gold, you are one of these train guards, known as Conductors. The safety of the rails rests upon your shoulders.

The intended tone of SPRIT LINES can be likened to a lighter Majora's Mask, and actual play will reward cleverness and puzzle-solving.

Some basic familiarity with the larger Zelda world (if you've played any of the games, you should be fine) is encouraged. Other than "Hyrule connected by trains powered by spirits," the world of SPIRIT LINES does not have much in common with Spirit Tracks.

I currently have three players and am seeking one more. I intend to tailor the game in part to the players and will have a brief Q&A with any takers one-on-one. The game will be player-driven.

I have never run Apocalypse World or Ghost Lines before, and would consider myself fairly new at GMing. I welcome new or inexperienced players. My goal is, honestly, for everyone to have fun.

Players will assume the roles of royal road wardens, the vaguely renaissance setting equivalent of a knighted federal police force. A poorly thought out extension of the monarchy's authority that has become listless in this time of relative peace. So if you like powder fantasy (and there's one thing I know /tg/ both loves and fucking loathes the idea of guns existing next to magic. hello 3 angry threads since my original gm post), and procedural cop dramas this is the game for you.

We're going to start off simple, letting people get used to each other and the world before we hit full stride. Players will select from various cases and be tasked with resolving them as they see fit with the full authority of the crown. I've a good variety of combat/investigation/pursuit/politicking/etc prepped up so that this selection process can act as a testbed for the game proper.

Please name an actual alternative system with Real fleshed out Kingdom building rules. That would include specific rules for positions of government Rules for building structures with pricing and benefits and penalties for each building. Rules for Travel and exploring land and mapping it out. Rules for Taxation, GDP management, different forms of government and citizen happiness management for possible rebellions. And Rules for interacting with other nations, with diplomatic relations, Trade, Vassalage and forming Unions and most importantly War. No fucking theater of the mind, No fucking DM Homebrew, and NO fucking abstract Mother may I Bullshit we are not savages. If you know of a specific rules system that does this I would be happy to know.

For the most part I've really only played 3.PF and tried some Cthulhutech and so far I haven't found rule amount to be an issue for me. I usually find issue with only with specific rules, not the number of them overall.

That being said, Kingdom building makes sense to need a lot of crunch because you need things to keep track of to know how your kingdom is doing, otherwise you sit back and look at it and say: Is this fucked or is it doing okay?

I enjoy myself, especially since my main campaign I play in is a homebrew world. So while we may be based in 3.PF, we don't stick hardcore to the structure.

I don't know that I will really ever enjoy going to 5e because I feel its too streamlined. I enjoy the archetypes in 3.PF because it gives flavor to allows the same class to play differently. I just see playing a barbarian or cleric in 5e as being the same all the time.

Also just haven't been playing long. Only really started playing about 1.5 years ago.

People who enjoy dnd 5e are 10 times worse then people who like 3.5 or Pathfinder. Is far from perfect 3.5 invented allot of things and was a step in the right direction which could have been improved on in further iterations by making all materials based of Tome of Battle initiators. 5e is a Big bang theory of trpgs that dumbed things down for the masses without fixing any of the class imbalance, and took things like Archetypes which were a good idea from PF and ruined their point, or being able to stack and mix and match them.

A video game "Turn of the Century" fantasy game in the mold of Bioshock and Fallout. The game takes place in an MMO-style world where all the stats, classes, and races are physical, in-settings things you can swap out in game.
