It was totally fractured, possibly long before any other Legion. The total secrecy of the Legion makes sure one hand doesn't know what the other is doing, this has led to the total autonomy and independece of various Alpha Legion cells.

i had an idea of a group of chaos sisters.

basically an AL operative slowly used their faith against them, making them believe that the traitor sons where actually loyal, and that the chaos gods are the sons of the emperor(khorne-angron, slaanesh-fulgrim, tzeentch-magnus, and nurgle-mortaron)

The other three(lorgar, omegon, and pertabo) are also sons of the emperor that haven't ascended to his realm in order to help us ascend.

The emperor of course is chaos undivided.

they see the heretics as loyal, space marines and chaos space marines, and the alpha legion as the custodians.

some even devote themselves to a specific son, this is them actually falling to a specific god, whereas the strongest ones stay undivided.

I'm currently playing a Slaaneshi Alpha Legionaire whose basically Ricky Spanish in Black Crusade so yeah, I like the Alpha Legion.

I don't like the Alpha Legion.

I am a CSM player since 2nd ed, I love the fluff. I always love the Chaos Marines because of all the grimdark unholy evil they represented, demonic threat to plunge us all into living Hell.

But a lot of people point at the Alpha Legion and say "see this? this is how you rebel against the Imperium. With actual plan or layers of, not with chanting and screaming about demons". But chanting and screaming about demons is the best for me.
