Black legion looks to be getting +1Ld which is nice; it's like a free undivided icon for all your units which frees you up to double dip and give all your units god specific icons and keep the undivided Ld bonus.

Imagine a scenario where GW in their infinite wisdom decided that it would be very profitable to highlight a faction aside from Space Marines in their future business plans. This faction would get the same amount of new models, material, fiction, spinoffs, any material that Space Marines get from now on at 1:1 ratio.

What faction would you want it to be personally? And which faction do you think would be best for business?

Jain Zar is Eldar vs. Orks. Generally if humans aren't the protags then one of the "good" xenos races, eldar or tau are. In the stories with Chaos protagonists the enemy is understandably almost always humans. So many of those books are horus heresy after all. However, black library has a shitload of books and my knowledge is hardly comprehensive. Plus there are thing like short novellas and audio dramas too.

Well, the Emperor's Children Noise Marines all use assault weapons, even their heavy weapon can be fired at Assault d6 so they're plenty good at it.
And with Music of the Apocalypse and Flawless Perfection they're dangerous in melee too.
Back them up with psychic powers and they're dangerous.
Our new psychic power gives us staying power, and our Icon, combined with Prescience, can generate additional attacks against Imperials on a 4+ hit roll in melee. So a squad of Possessed or Chosen w/ Lightning Claws holding an Icon of Excess with Prescience cast on them will be rolling 2+ to hit and generating extra attacks on a 4+ against Imperium players. With the Lightning Claw Chosen re-rolling failed wounds.
We also do not have many non-power armour dudes at all at the moment.

Chaos lore isn't necessarily bad, just hit and miss by ork standards. Xenos are interesting because Chaos is the biggest threat for the time being because they can't be co-operated with. Also the Imperium doesn't know the full extent of Xenos because they are only now on the rise and as such are downplayed in the lore.
