Hello /tg/, I was looking to run a squad-level fantasy game for

This is a blue board which means that it's for everybody (Safe For Work content only). If you see any adult content, please report it.

Hello /tg/, I was looking to run a squad-level fantasy game for a group of people and was wondering if there was a rules-light-ish system that fit. Something with a bit of flexibility and room for customization but not quite at the level of say d20. Preferably hex-based or adaptable to such a map.

I'm asking here because I remember waaaay back there was a game run on this board for aaages where the dude running it like invented the system (I think) and drew and updated these really cool maps to go with every new post. Is there any system like the one he homebrewed or is it pretty much unique?

Not sure what you're talking about, but Strike! sounds like it could suit. Feels weird to suggest it, as I honestly don't like it very much, but it's one of the only rules light-ish tactical combat games I know.

>Strike!
Does this go by any other names? Googling it gets lots of noise.

I was talking about Iron Hearts, https://1d4chan.org/wiki/Quest:Iron_Hearts I remember it being a pretty regular thing back in old tg

Stop shilling Strike!

Why does /tg/ keep shilling Strike!?

Before I forget, you are probably mostly interested in the combat, so you should skip right there; the 90 or so pages before it are for the skill system and other extra moules, which you probably don't need.

It's a step more complicated than iron hearts, although you can strip it down a bit by using the Simple classes.

Used it with hexes to run a mech game once, it worked fine.

I have a Roll20 system that plays like Fire Emblem if you want it.
I'm sorry that I keep bringing this up, but blame the people who keep making these threads!

Because a lot of /tg/ likes 4e and only takes issue with it being called "Dungeons and Dragons," and STRIKE! is basically 4e with the trappings of dungeons and dragons removed., which is literally what lots of people on /tg/ ask for.
