So I'm making an Alpha Legion primaris successor, and allying in a Vindicare seems appropriate, especially since Alpha Legion famously use regular human operatives.

But how should I model him?

Has anyone tried to find pics of Legion traits on the community site?

I've got a fuckton of Kataphron and it would be easier to just go without bases for transport/modeling/play purposes, and I know Nids and shit to it all the time. Is it a problem for measuring if I just set the doods down and use model to base for distances?

Chaos players at my local store are gettin' krumped HARD. Prior to Saturday's megabattle it was roughly Imperials 96, Xenos 46, Chaos 4.

We 3 or 4 Ork players show up at that megabattle (myself included), and da boyz had to play (for Chaos) because the store was so lopsidedly in favor of the Imperial scum.

Imperials won the megabattle, which I'm fine with since Chaos needs to get its shit together without asking the greenskins for help all the time anyway.

Also consider the generic 'Veterans of the Long War' stratagem.

+1 to wound. You'd have 4d3, S8 ap-3 D3 damage which hit on 2s, and wound most vehicles on 2s or 3s.

You'd also have 108 S4 shots which hit on 2s, wound most infantry on 2s or 3s with no cover save.

Models use the base the came with, with the exception of model releases which were reboxed with different base sizes over the years (e.g. space marines). In that case you choose the size you prefer.

Both games have been on the domination obective, and I've won both by having the reapers camp on a backfield objective and rangers on a midfield one all of the game.

Problem is both games I've been very close to being tabled, with harlies and dragons both being obliterated after jumping out of their transport, slaughtering one thing each - and then being entirely unprotected against all of the enemy's shooting.

So basically I'm scared of what'll happen when we roll up a gamemode where I can't just stack up on points by camping on objectives or when they manage to put the midfield objectives out of range from cover. Besides, it doesn't feel that good winning when all that's left are the reapers after the mainstay kamikaze'd themselves turn two or three.

What can I do? Change the list? How do I avoid dragons being left out in the open or harlies falling out of combat?

Easier to make look good? DG. Power armor required blending or highlights to look good and the flat surfaces demand properly thinned layers. All DG requires to look good is an olive basecoat and brown gloss wash, which GW thoughtfully both just released.

So life's been good to me (so far) and I decided to throw some money in the fire and buy either two thunderbolts or one marauder destroyer since I want an IG plane that actually looks like a sleek but still imperially blocky fighter jet and bomber respectively

So, just got tabled by Daemons yesterday, and after looking at my codex and compairing it to others, I have to wonder: Why the fuck did Admech get nerfed so dam hard?

I mean, I understand, Admech were great last edition, and canticles/doctrines were nearly overpowered, and stuff like Kastellans and Electropriests were buffed.

But than you look at a Tech Priest Dominus; who is 135 points base, compared to a Space Marine captain who is 74 points base. Now, the Dominus has the advantage of a +2 save, and healing d3 wounds. He also has more powerful heavy weaponry, and can heal vehicles.

However, when we look at what the captain has, it becomes retarded. Captain's have a better invuln, better weapon selection and variety, lets units re-roll ones to hit for both shooting and close combat, has better WS and LD, an extra attack.

Now, while Canticles are good, chapter tactics and relics make up for that.

And sure, the Captain won't be winning all that many fights in close combat at stock options; but given his variety of weapons, access to jump packs, terminator armor, and Transports versus the Dominus' Canticles, the Captain will not only reliably kill the Dominus, but continue on to kill more.

And that's not going into the Skitarii units themselves, who are overpriced for their stat line and guns, lost their horde clearing/Anti-power armor ability, have crappy LD comparable to a guardsman, can only be taken in 10 man squads, only have a 4+ save and BS 3+ to boast in superiority and no transports what so ever.

Got the Talons of the Emperor box and leftovers from Burning of Prospero, so I can go both way, to question is, if I should go with something inquistive-blanchistulike (the Black Ship taskforce) or ram the enemy with my glorious Mary Sue Minotaurs (I always loved the Moloc model and their reimagining).

I do not use my SoS since they are very expensive and need a rhino to work. A rhino that can't transport other stuff (beside inquisition) and does not get the benefit of SoS like before.
