Not surprisingly there are edible mushrooms and plants that adapted to the Underdark. There are hundreds of different wines produced from fungi. "Spiderblood" is a one of the most expensive and seasoned with spider's venom.

Barrelstalk is a fungus as big as a tree. Only the inner flesh is edible. Barrelstalk was a fungus that grew in the Underdark, named for its barrel-like shape.[1] It had a hard, woody outer surface,[citation needed] but the inside was hollow and could contain about 5 to 8 gallons (19 to 30 liters) of potable water. The inner rings of the barrelstalk were made from an edible pulp. A typical specimen yielded about 5 to 10 pounds (2.3 to 4.5 kilograms) of food.[1] Some reports of this fungus said that it was only edible when young. Once matured, it produced spores that were poisonous, making it useless as a source of food and water.
Bluecap is an inedible fungus, which spores can be ground into flour and made into bread, commonly called "sporebread". Bluecaps were tall (up to 6 inches), slender white mushrooms with pale blue caps.[4] Bluecap was inedible in its raw state, but it could be ground into a bland flour and baked into nutritious sporebread (also called bluebread[2]). Bluecap was known for its ease of cultivation (it could be grown with or without faerzress), and it was cultivated by nearly all of the Underdark races.[1] A loaf of spoorbread was equivalent to one pound (almost a half kilogram) of food.[2] The caps of bluecap mushrooms could be prepared by those with the correct herbalism knowledge to make a stew that would neutralize poison.[4] Bluecap was cultivated nearly everywhere in the Underdark.[1] It was also found on the High Moor, where it was eaten by the creatures that wandered the moor and collected by humans for food.[3]

Firelichen of pale orangish color is used to produce a spicy paste put onto sporebread, liquor or to season soup or stew. Fire lichen was a type of lichen that grew in the Underdark near sources of geothermal heat. It was recognizable by its stalks of pale orange-white. When ground to powder and fermented, it formed a paste that was very spicy but edible, added to soups and stews or spread on sporebread for flavor.[1] Duergar were known to ferment fire lichen into an extremely hot alcoholic beverage.[1]

Ripplebark is a fungus resembling a pile of rotting flesh. It is edible raw, however after preparation it has better taste.

Trillimac is a fungus with broad gray-green cap and a light gray stalk. The stalk can be cleaned, soaked and dried to produce bread-like food. Trillimac was a fungus that grew in the Underdark.[1] Trillimac stalks reached a height of 4–5 ft (1.2–1.5 m) and were a light gray color capped with a wide, flat gray-green hood.[1] The stems of the trillimac made a bread-like food once they were cleaned off, soaked in water for one hour, and then allowed to dry. A single stalk prepared this way yielded about 7 to 10 pounds (2.3 to 4.5 kilograms) of food.[1 The cap had a leathery texture that held inks and dyes well. After it was cut and cleaned, the cap of a trillimac could be used to make a map or a scroll. It was also just tough and flexible enough to be made into a hat, but was not appropriate for things that would suffer wear and tear.[1

Water orb is a bulbous fungus that grows in shallow water. It's structure is similar to sponge, soaked with water. It is edible, but rater chewy and tasteless. Waterorb was a fungus that grew in the Underdark in shallow water. When mature, it was bulbous in shape and bigger than a human head. If squeezed and wrung out, it yielded about a gallon (almost four liters) of potable water. The remaining husk was bland and chewy like a sponge, but edible, providing about a pound (almost a half kilogram) of food.

Zurkhwood is enormous mushroom and a source of food and timber. Because of hard and woody consistency it must be properly cooked to be edible. It's spores are nurtritious and may be eaten raw. Zurkhwood was a fungus that grew in the Underdark. It had edible spores and the tree-like stems could be used as a building material.[1] Zurkhwood mushrooms grew 30–40 ft (9.1–12 m) tall when in a cavern with enough height. The stems were hard and sturdy like wood. When cut, it exhibited unique patterns, analogous to the grain found in lumber.[1 Zurkhwood was primarily used as a building material. Its long stems could be used to make bridges and skilled carpenters could use it to make furniture, shipping containers, and almost anything that could be made from wood. Zurkhwood floated in water and could also be used to make boats and rafts. The woody substance could be sanded, stained, and polished to bring out the decorative patterns in the heart of the mushroom stem.[1] The spores of the zurkhwood were large, like grains of wheat, and if harvested from a typical specimen, yielded 5 to 8 pounds (2.3 to 3.6 kilograms) of food.

Bats are very common in whole underdark, including regular, dire and even more weird species.

Fish mostly very small, pale and harmless. In greater bodies of water more dangerous version of subterranean fish may be found, e.g. sharks.

Rothé are common livestock very similar to muskoxes.

Vermin the most common source of food in whole Underdark. Some of them are bred like livestock, mostly beetles and crickets.

They are called aracnidumplings not because of holding spider meat, but the way the dough is folded and pinched on the sides it resembles a spider with its legs.
