Most EDH players will range from "not caring" to "actively benefiting" from being milled.

The only mill worth a damn is combo-mill and you can't even always rely on combo mill because of the Eldrazi Titans. Unless it's exile based, it's shit.

Is Voice of Resurgence a must have for every deck that runs G/W? What about a Marath deck would it be good in it? I'm not seeing it on EDHrec but wouldn't it make more tokens with all the cards that double tokens in Marath decks?

Basically make the type of deck you want to and build to suit it, if you're not actually into Iroas just find another card, there are way too many potential commanders to lock yourself into one half heartedly just because you pulled him

Hey, does anyone know why TCG player is such a piece of shit sometimes?

I've been having a consistent problem the past few times I've been buying from them. When I start building a cart I filter for Direct only products/sellers and add only those items that qualify for Direct shipping, but when I go to check out it's moved a bunch of the sellers into their own package, each with their own shipping so I end up with 10-15 dollar shipping on a $25 order. Obviously this is a no-go. The cart optimizer doesn't work either, it crashes and fails to complete or simply returns back that the Direct products I selected are invalid for some reason.

This happen to anyone else? It's happened to me the last few times I've ordered from them and I'm about ready to call it quits and stop purchasing from them.

In a similar vein, any other good places to buy cards from online?

The point of having him in your command zone is so your creatures can always attack safely and with moderate evasion. Cards that reward connecting with the oppoent are what you're gonna want: Grenzo, Havoc Raiser, the Mirrodin Swords, Stigma Lasher are things to keep in mind. Powerful or cumulative "on attack" triggers are also worth considering since the fragile bodies that these abilities are attached to won't have to worry about dying to combat damage.

I'll take a minute to answer this before class starts, poor fag here. Basically they have to guarantee the condition of each card, so some more obscure cards they might not have on hand in certain conditions, especially cheaper damaged cards. So basically you'll add them to cart and either pay an extra dollar for no reason. It's easiest to put everything you need in the cart, then afterwards filter out what they do and don't have and then try and checkout. Half of the time for a larger order (especially including format staples) you'll get a stock out. Just replace it with a different edition.

Hope this helps. Got my shit tier lovisa coldeyes brew for about 30$ with this method.

Stuff I'd consider making room for off the top of my head:

Shizo, Death's Storehouse. It's kind of expensive (almost ten bucks), but it provides unblockable for Skullbriar for way less than Rogue's Passage does, and it produces colored mana to boot.

I also notice you have Tainted Strike. A similar "If you don't have a response to this you lose the game" effect can be found in Hatred and Triumph of the Hordes. I wouldn't replace Tainted Strike wither either of them, but it might be worth trying to make room for all three. I know I did.

Necromantic Selection deserves special mention for Skullbriar I think, because it synergizes so well with Skullbriar's abilities. It's a board wipe you can cast while Skullbriar's on the field and get him right back, with all of his counters intact, and haste. If you topdeck it and have the mana to cast it, it's almost always a good time to use it--just cast it and then swing with Skullbriar on an empty field. Only downside is how wildly outside of curve it is for most Skullbriar decks, but in my opinion the effect is powerful enough to warrant it.

Also worth mentioning is Decree of Savagery. You're never going to cast it normally, but if you cycle it it's just 4 +1/+1 counters at instant-speed for 6 and it cantrips. Solid value, I'm never disappointed to draw it.

I started playing around Innistrad and my first commander was Sharuum. I had a casual playgroup I was part of and one was playing turbo mill, going so far as to include Forced Fruition. It quickly became very evident to everyone involved that milling me was a tremendous mistake, since it would enable the combos.

Apparently one of the fastest ways to sober up these kinds of players is to show them cards in your graveyard are much more useful than cards in your library.

Okay guys, I want to build a Razaketh commander deck.

Problem is, I'm completely new to EDH and I haven't ever built and EDH deck.

So, what are some must haves for Razaketh? I'm assuming some sort of deck where you have a lot of tutor-able threats/answers/tool box cards? Any specific card choices?

Building Thromok the Insatiable. Main plan is to get to 25 or 36, grant haste and trample or unlockable and one shot that turn. Backup plan is tokens with overrun effects. Any reccomendations that aren't on EDHREC?

The only trouble with trying to go with a super-hardcore combo like Doomsday or ANT is that you really can't spare a lot of space for silliness. SO much of your deck will always be dedicated to setting up the combo. Just run lots of cantrips, be VERY judicious with your counters and removal, and run goofy wincons like the one you mentioned.

Also I spy a Hinder/Tunnel Vision combo in there. That will always be the most glorious of jank.

alright /edhg/, i am in need of some spice for my next deck. I'm trying to build a "fun" queen marchesa (long may she reign) deck of the political/mardu control variety. I already know of all of the good nasty pieces in the colors, but i want to have some cards to reward my loyal subjects. preferably targeted so that i can ensure that the enemies of the state reap no reward.

Additionally, i am trying to make this deck more on the fun side but still hold its own. like, 60%ish. The only other deck i have is tuned to perfection, so i am not sure how many slots i can use towards silly spice whilst still having a functional whole. any advice on building to a lower power level or theme decks in general is appreciated.

I know he sucks. It's a pet card of mine, and I've wanted to build a deck around it for a while. Just been putting it off on account of, well, it sucking. I can't build around Dakkon entirely. He's shitty. Even in a relatively casual playgroup he's overcosted and comes absolutely vanilla with nothing to help him connect. So I'm wondering what the deck's actual "theme" is going to be. The best I can think of right now is some kind of equipment shenanigans. I'm in the right colors for it, and when Dakkon eventually does make it into play I can always just equip him with that shit and I've got myself a ghetto Voltron Commander. Just build Esper control, but substitute land ramp for artifact mana. It will all be slightly worse, but make your guy swoll.
