Running my first session tomorrow!
On the recommendation of /tg/, rather than starting out my PCs in captivity, I've started them in a hired wagon caravan that is taking them to their destination. But there's trouble in these here hills... they may not make it to their destination unmolested.
As of right now, I've planned out combat encounters for:
-their transport being attacked
-a single-enemy miniboss battle
-a prison, for them to escape if a TPK happens, or for them to assault if they feel like it
I've got a rough route for them to string between these fights, the order differing based on the team's choices and successes.
My Q is: is that enough for a 3 hour session, provided there are a few random encounters along the way? I was planning to ad lib village encounters and conversations with some prep beforehand. I've also got the first dungeon from Mines of Phandelver in the event they blaze through all of my shit.
Am I underprepared? And if so, how can I quickly prepare for it? Assume I have 2 hours of free time max before our session tomorrow.

And just for raw attention seeking, here is what I've made (which will be completely illegible at this quality)
Bumping with charts

Combat takes forever, so I'd say that 3 hours would not be enough.

Honestly that's preferable. If I can avoid using premade stuff, I'd like to (just as a challenge for myself + desire to tailor dungeons to my setting).

Any tips from y'all on how to speed up combat from new players?
I was going to write up little cards with each player's modifiers & basic diagram of how they underlie the attack & damage rolls - then fold them into a little tent and write their character's name outward facing to the rest of the table. Also going to keep a little lore on the underside of it, as a unique thing that each character has to contribute during conversations.

Why don't you smear some feces on the table instead because that game sounds like fucking shit you goddamn retard

2/10, docked an extra point for low effort, your final score is 1/10

I'm glad I'm not a player at your table my dick would be all red and puffy because I'd do nothing but jerk off I'd be so bored

There, there.

We didn't mean to make you feel ignored, sweetie. We all want you to know you're cared for and loved.

I hope you can ignore the sound of my foreskin repeatedly moving over the tip of my dick until it's swollen because your game sucks and I'd rather touch myself then play it

>DnD
Don't start with this, it will give you and your players brain damage.

Explain?
