Nah nah nah man, it's not about the 2D platformers alone. The 3D games like Galaxy, 64, and pretty soon Odyssey, along with all the RPGs really have this feel good vibe along with a lot of creativity and comedy. It's not a very coherent or well designed world in itself when it comes to like, a connective narrative or anything, but each game has new worlds to explore, new people to meet, and just jolly vibes.
