Which polyhedral die is the best, and why is it the D12?

D6 is technically the most fair one

who the fuck has a favorite type of die?mine is the d10

The d10 is the best die, hands down.
- Lets you work in base 10, the most common form of counting on the planet
- Too baller to be a platonic solid
- Percentile dice are amazing for rolling treasure, random effects, and monster encounters

>Not using platonic solids
>Using counting systems based on flawed human biology instead of mathematical perfection
>Not a sublime number
>Not even a perfect number

in what way?

I feel like the d8 is often forgotten. I like d8s.
d12, hands down
>can be used as a d3, d4, d6, and a d12
>doesn't hurt when stepped on
>great for doing random times
>the band's music isn't half bad

Basically this. d10 for practical reasons.
Aesthetically I love the look of d12's, but in game design they're just not useful outside of systems with a regular progression of dice sizes, and since they're one end of that progression it's kinda understandable that they don't see much use.
