IRON WARRIORS ARE CHAOS BUT NOT CHAOS

THey should start making em look more like pic related, occaisional spikes and arrows, but overall very steel and hard edged look instead of ornate shit and horns.

It would vary from character to character, some becoming more zealous, others just along for the ride, maybe using advanced specialties when you just go full chaos, though we don't have specific ideas in place yet.

Man I wish chaos was better. It always pissed me off Khorne Berzerkers were not the best melee unit in the game. If you are a several thousand year old warrior who is backed by the god of war you should probably put up a better fight.

I admit I stopped playing a while ago late 6th or so. And one of the reasons why was because almost everything except the helldrake seemed underpowered compared to the power gamers in my shop. So having a very limted pool of players to play and not being able to afford to scrap the army and start over or spam the most op stuff in the codex and bench most of the stuff I had built up till that point. I just gave up and sold the scraps.

Hey guys, so the Imperium still lets us do whatever and thinks we're loyalists, the plan Is going great. I dont know why they let us get away with this crap, but whatever. Remember the time Grimnar killed an inquisitor AND a Grek Knights chapter master In the same week and all they did was leave us alone after Bjorn told them to fuck off? Our chapter master uses a Daemon possessed axe and our Rune Priests revere a warp entity that resides In our home planet. Also I keep telling other loyalists that all these sigils and marks of Khorne are just "Fenrisian Runes". The Wulfen worked great, the loyalists seem to be unable to tell possessed from mutants. That brings me to what I came here to ask. What other Chaos units should we start fielding In places across the imperium, and what should we tell loyalists they are?

At the moment a mixed list is hard to do, but Belakor does help actually, he's the only daemon HQ who can benefit all daemons.
At the same time if you run like 4 HQ's, one for each god, and keep them near their cavalry it's doable.
You'd need two detachments at least though.

My warrior warband was called Tobh's Warband, named after Warlord Tobh, pic related.

The army was made over the course of a little store campaign and started out as 500 points, back when Tobh was an Exalted Hero and over the course of the campaign ended up at 2000 points.

The narrative was that, Tobh a simple nordic raider, gathered manpower by fighting and plundering wherever he went. Chaos itself never played a big role, since I personally prefer my chaos armies to be as detached from chaos as they can be. (It was basically just Warriors squads and Dogs initially)

However, at some point I put an interesting expansion into the narrative, by adding the Sorcerer Chaos Lord Locar to my army. In the my story, Locar is basically a fantasy Word Bearer and tries to fully convert the warband to the glory of Chaos Undivided - and in the process - to usurp Tobh's position as the leader. With him, I also added Chosen, a Dragon Ogre Shaggot and a warshrine to the army.

To me they never seem to look right.

They don't look like they wear power armour that has been around since the HH and that has been twisted. The new Death Guard and Thousand Sons models get that look across. these don't.

At the same time they don't look warp-tainted enough. The dark vengeance chosen fit that style a lot more than these. Even the Raptor models are a lot closer to what I would think warp-tainted armour would look like.

And if you want to see the armour as adjusted Mk VII armour that just has spikes and chaos symbols fitted onto it's still just doesn't hit the mark.

And the horns are just big and goofy and don't really fit with the newer models of the range.

Play Black Crusade with a party of Chaos Space Marines while you play a human and tell me how well that goes.
Power armour kind of helps keep you alive long enough to make a name for yourself unless you manage to achieve Daemonhood through apotheosis before dying.

I'm kindof similar but in a different way. I play TS and I got my new gorgeous models that I want to buy to revamp my army. But seeing how they neutered the psychic phase so hard for matched play, I want to wait till I get the TS (or CSM, wherever they get put) codex before I dump another 120~ euros on them.

After Wrath of Magnus, shit was fucking great and fun. With the Index though, they got heavily castrated. I went from having 2 regular neutered psykers (due to 3-spell tzeentch discipline) to having 5 proper psykers with a wealth of great spells, back to 2 psykers who can mostly just spam smite.

What are you thoughts on taking units of Death Guard or Rubics etc in say a Black Legion army?

I know it was a thing classically in Chaos Space Marine armies but they seem to be pushing them towards their own lists these days. Does it feel out of place to just throw in a unit of Death Guard in to an 'undivided' legion?

The Fall of Cadia storyline/model releases pissed me off in this regard. It's Abaddon's big moment, the fall of the most powerful fortress world in the Imperium. Imperium gets a box with some neat character sculpts as they rally their greatest heroes to fight back.
