I don't understand anything about any of this, but I really like Karl Franz.

What's the best option for reading more about him and the cool things he does? I don't wanna play the game since it hurts my head when I watch people use rulers and like fifty dice then ramble off some demonic code language, but I like to read and watch.

It is kind of weird how Archaon comes off as a Deviantart OC by someone who wrote him up in 15 minutes while listening to Green Day.

I do like his Fantasy counterpart a hell of a lot more than the End Times one though. At least the Fantasy version of Archaon is meant to be the story of one man's loss of good, descent into evil and madness, and when it seems like he has it all he loses it all and fails completely, escaping with nothing and wearing "Everchosen" only as an empty badge of dishonor. A very nice little tale fitting in with the rest of the world, and a nice example of, along with all of the Storm of Chaos, that even when evil seems unstoppable and unending, it can still be beaten and hope (Order) can still prevail.

Then End Times just makes him a nothing personnel kid shitter and evil wins because they can xD x3 >;3

Thanquol is a great example of early Warhammer fluff where the setting was grim and perilous but it didn't take itself TOO seriously and it had powerful characters who were still kinda fucking goofy at the same time.
Now 40k ultraserious shit bled into it like a goth kid from the early 90's who grew into his 40's without ever realizing how fucking stupid he looked dressed like that.

It's easy as fuck to write edgelord shit and being an edgelord does not automatically compensate for shit writing.
Conversely, being actually funny is a lot harder. It's more like Finubar was denied his right as king, but more significantly Aliathra (if we pretend the ET doesn't happen) is an elf who unites the lines of Yvraine and Morellion, and most worryingly is an Everqueen who will bear Anaerion's curse.

They do both want to backstab each other, but recognize they need each other for various reasons - closest thing the Dark Elves probably get to loyalty and friendship.

It's one of my more liked things about the elves.

The T+T books really aren't anything special, but I enjoyed the interactions between the brothers and the Tyrion/Alarielle sparring as they run through the woods.

The problem with the books is that Tyrion is so much interesting than Teclis. Teclis broods and thinks serious thoughts while Tyrion goes out bar brawling and fucks their cousin (and any other female elf that's not their aunt or old servant).

Teclis is this serious scholarly character where Tyrion is almost fucking Flashman with pointy ears.

I don't know - having Krell doesn't seem to really change all that much, especially since you have to be careful so that he doesn't run out of health, and you can't level him up like a hero. On the other hand, he won't crumble while you aren't looking since he's a summon and unbreakable, and he gives Kemmler some much needed hitting power without costing much.

Quite frankly it seems like all the spellcaster lords in T:WW suck pretty badly. It's not like in the tabletop where they get better spells or access to rarer ones - you'd be just as good taking a spellcaster hero. And it's even worse with the Vampire Counts since vampires get access to spells anyway, making them good with melee and magic in the way that Azhag wishes he could be.

Gist of it is that they're proud and self-important - Wood Elves want to ignore the rest of the world and shouldn't care about lesser races, High Elves think they're the only ones that can save the world and lesser races don't understand their importance, and Dark Elves think that they deserve to rule the world and lesser races are theirs to exploit and use. They keep screwing over the world by inaction or not telling people things.

About the subject of the wizards, I understand your point but makes me wonder how much work would they take if that is the actual reason 'cause it looks fairly easy since their lores already exist from day one but I don't know crap about making video games so I'm most likely talking shit.
And on the matter of the elves, that's why I like them most of the time, they just don't give a fuck about anyone else, I'm more Dark Elf aligned though.

Just start off the Skaven trailer with a Empire-sounding guy going 'They do not exist.' And cuts to a bunch of scenes of Skaven running through sewers and stuff, show them being awesome as the guy keeps on going on about them being myths and legends. And then at the very end it's revealed that the speaker is a sewer jack, and he says 'They do not exist. How I wish that were true.' as a rat ogre barges its way to the surface and bellows.
