If it's Not!mediterranean, instead of unicorns or whatever, use a nymph or dryad. They like their little sacred spaces and could be great for a chitchat as a semi-friendly NPC.

Merfolk were also a thing, you could have a reclusive one that's in her own little private cove (also probably a druid) that they can swap notes with. Introduce cute waifu's!!!! they're the best!

This is the Soulforger pre-release playtest. Pre-release because it looks like shit due to me being too lazy to do proper formatting and clean everything up all fancy like. At some point I'll fix it to look better no promises are made but for now, here's everything that actually matters about the class.

Missing: good design, art, some fluff about why stealing people's souls and such is evil and may not let you stay in the good graces of most patron deities, etc.
Present: Everything else, including enough Forged Souls to make a small armory out of, and 6 Aspects to provide some needed diversity to the inevitable all-Soulforger party.

Feedback and comments are appreciated and can be sent either in the thread (though I might not see it all the time) or by following the contact information in the doc.

Now, tell me ONE reason you don't want come with me and steal some souls - and TWO reasons why you do. It's gonna be awesome, I tell you.

Personally, I don't like automated sheets. I don't like having to search for a place to put every odd bonus I have. I would rather just have space to write in, like the Myth-Weaver's sheets.

Related: I do use roll20 macros, but like some people can get really retarded with it. A DM I played with would literally make variables for every single pathfinder skill for every single PC. It was meant to save time later, but the macros didn't even work!

So, my friend flaked out on me. Again. My DM gave us a small tease of what we'd be fighting. Nothing too complicated, just a powerful ghost. They even gave us the stats for it.

Ok so let me get this straight. As long as have four arms. I can dual wield two bows?

So tell me, /pgg/. I have an issue, and it's something I've always wanted to do, and it makes sense in the context of the game, but how do I make it happen?

Im playing a Wizard, and her entire focus is studying, learning, and mastering magic. We're not too high level, but it's looking like the only way we're going to be able to ring the final boss's bell is by stripping all of the magic from the world. This is something my character cannot stand. She knows it's necessary, but she just can't reconcile a world in which everything she knows becomes moot.

I want her last hurrah to be a momentous, cathartic apotheosis of her craft. I'm working on scrimping and saving the money for it, but before the last battle we have to strip magic from the world.

So I'm thinking the last thing she does will be a massive, momentous wish. As in simultaneously casting enough scrolls of Wish that all of the other party members get +5 inherent to all of their stats and a massive layer of buffs and magical protections going into the final fight. (the game is hella animu, so I doubt the DM will strip those bonuses.)

But I want it to kill her. Thematically it just makes me happy to think that her last act, as the most studied mage in the world, is to perform an Arch Spell, and then fade away along with the age of magic.

How do I do this?

Yeah. If you look at the Aegis class it states that with the final tier of the extra-arms customization (Which gives you a second set of fully functional arms) that you could wield two two-handed weapons. Bows are always two handed weapons and no other stipulations are given, so yes in that context and thus presumably others. Its worth noting that most sources of extra-limbs specifically don't grant extra attacks so check whatever ability you're using to get them.

My DM is a little animu but he's kind of on the spot when it comes to rules. I could MAYBE make a 9th level spell that accomplishes such a feat, so long as the material components are equivalent to the casting of 5x6x5, or 125 wishes. Even if I just make it so the other 5 only get +5 to their two relevant stats, it becomes 2x5x5, or 50x25000, so... 1.25million GP.

That's a lot of saving up.

I think it would be as much for the wild mechanical concepts as they are fluff, as you can go REALLY wild with the backstory of a level 11 gestalt Mythic character as opposed to a level 3 schmuck.

Anon, let's actually crunch the fluff implications that you could get from having a certain Mythic tier. Tier 7 only gives you Force of Will, which is basically a "reality is wrong, imma reroll" ability. Useful, but not anything interesting to write about in a backstory...

... Whereas Tier 9 gives you Immortal, which is described as thus,

Trust me, it's coming. Now that I've gotten the Soulforger out, my focus will be to work on apps and Intrigue. Quite seriously, though, I'd really appreciate if people read through the playtest document (despite its somewhat unfurnished appearance). While I may hold a short late night testplay oneshot for Soulforger before Intrigue starts, I do consider it more or less in a final state except for pure looks and solving the hosting problem. And balance, of course, but that's what the playtest is for.

It's not necessarily that, though. Yes, Evil characters probably have an easier time being Soulforgers, and NE/CE in particular, but they also have a way easier time being killed off for doing so. Soulforgers explicitly are treasured commodities in the soul trade, and Daemons will happily hunt them down or pay big money to buy them on the market. If you play your SF as a murderhobo you are GOING to be hunted down, because you have literally zero friends. Yes, you might have to work for your alignment if you're anything but Savant Aspect (who generates power passively and doesn't precisely have to steal souls) and you want to stay Good, but it shouldn't be impossible and anything that affects your alignment should be talked about between you and the GM anyway.

Pretty good--a lot of planning went on, and I had to weather two blackouts during the same session. But otherwise it went well.

Now that I sat and looked at it again: harvest parts is pretty good. The other couple of related feats are variable value, but being able to harvest corpse stuff for materials (usable in crafting) then still restore corpse and/or sell them as is on the black market seems pretty good based on how many bodies adventurers usually make.
