* Critical: Figure of Legend reincarnates as long as their legend lives on, losing Fate Points each time. So, now all the first three options reincarnate. Figure of Legend has more points to start, but is the only one that loses points with each death.

* Fate Modifiers altered, more added. (Soldier split into "Metahuman" and "General". Wizard made less costly, but also more limited)

* Can revoke companion status from anyone (so that you don't feel compelled to kill them to revoke their status).

* Nearly Mortal reduced in points for Fates which reincarnate without penalty.

120 points + 30 drawbacks + 10 shared worlds -35 wizard = 125 to spend. For the seven schools you choose for wizard, you can master them with 35 points. 40 if you want to be able to imbue one. That leaves another 85 points to spend normally. So, you could buy another, say, seven schools at 10 points each. get even more with sorcerer supreme. You can still get pretty ridiculous with it.

And because your drawback choices are dictated by your spell colors, it seems like you're basically going to be forced to dabble in all 3, since you can only pick one 'become a girl' option and there's only 3 choices per option.

Hardly any as Tokharr has issues with trying to actually balance any of his cyoas. Take almost no drawbacks and barely be able to cast anything, thus wasting a huge amount of points and keeping you pretty weak, or take all 6 of the drawbacks and not be able to be functional.

Really each section should have had twice the number of corruption choices so there was actually a choice in said corruption if you wanted to delve deeper into the magic.

It kind of counts, but it doesn't really go around with any enemies or themes to do. Only thing you can do is make a character and pic a location with a loose idea of what you can fight, without actually getting into it. If we could get an enemies page that lets us get boons would be cool, but otherwise yes. I think it does count as a Urban cyoa.

It's probably still shit but I decided to make up my own rules for the CYOA (Sartre and all that jazz), posted a build in the Trash thread with them.
Changes from CYOA
1) Spell Points aren't determined by fetishes. Instead you gain 6 spell points for your primary school and 4 spell points for your secondary.
2) You start with 20 points for Boons.
3) Corruption points aren't gained from spells and the Embrace Corruption boon isn't an option. Instead Corruptions can either give spell points equal to their 'cost' for the appropriate color (I.e. Slut gives 1 Yellow Spell Point while Mental Changes gives 2 Green Spell Points) or points for boons equal to their 'cost' times fives. Power of Corruption gives mana equal to the total 'cost' of all corruptions you take.

Overall not really that great. I got a few really powerful spells, but no particularly interesting or sexy combos, as those tend to require too many cross-class investments to make work. I'm an elf girl with unlimited portal magic, some basic shapeshifting/transformation abilities, and time stop, who occasionally gets raped by fairies. Oddly I don't actually have any mana for them to drain since I use casts per day instead, so it's not clear how long they will stay or whether I'll be able to cast afterward.

There isn't a proper hypno spell in there though. Even Enslave just forces them to do what you say after you collar them, Yellow's upgraded charm is just as good for that. None of the spells seem to let you make people do things unconsciously, or plant triggers in people.

I have said that I dont want to change anything multiple times now. Also none of the complaints I see on /tg/ and /trash/ is on reddit. I don't know why this is, but it suspect this either has to do with none of the redditors having expectations for Eronomicon and being hyped up for it or there are some people who keep whining on 4chan, like some of the criticism I received is pretty retarded. I don't mean to dissmiss all the criticism as retarded, I do think some of it is valid and that is the criticism I have addressed and even changed things in the CYOA for (note that the latest version is 1.3).

Worldbuilding which serves its purpose. For example, having a wild hunt and a god who curates it; this serves the centre of the CYOA. But, on the other hand, the town section is mostly irrelevant, removing any stakes it might have for the player and generally ensuring its impact is purely intellectual -- which means it can never stand up, because you CANNOT simulate anything even approaching realism.

Sometimes worldbuilding IS the purpose, true, but in such situations it is certainly not the customs or politics which are interesting. It's the central, underlying tensions.
