I haven't looked at it since it's first edition, did Varg finally fix/streamline all the stupid tables like the overly complex swimming?
I think his setting is interesting, I just wish it wasn't bogged down with such a crunchy system. What edition is it at now anyway?

v. 2.6 is alright. Probably better than most D&D editions. Which is not saying much, since D&D is absolutely awful. There are others, better fantasy games though. Check the Vikings supplement for RuneQuest II if you want a nice mythic-Viking inspired setting with an awesome system.
