Are Necrons worth it in 8th edition?

They're strong and tough, but not unbeatable. I think they are definitely worth it in 8e.

The scars of 7e run deep, and people are still healing.

Necrons were THE most unfun army to play against. I had more fun against tau or eldar because shit would die on both sides. But with necrons, it was just a boring grind with nothing happening. They were a drudge to play against. They didn't always win, but even when they lost, you regretted playing.

Now they are still strong, but not as strong, and things actually happen. So I don't mind playing necrons anymore and the hate is no longer warranted.

But fuck 7e necron in the asshole with a poison oak bush
