The whole bit where Kitten yells at them before being lasered in Episode 22 was actually ad-libbed during a trial recording and added to the script. (bloody hell that was way too long ago).

I wasn't a writer on the series, so I couldn't have changed that myself, but it got me worried that the issues some people had with episodes beyond 7/8 were gonna get worse. The second Yu-Gi-Oh special and the slice of Eps 23, 24 and 25 have been bloody fun to do though, so at least there's that.

Still, some people love the new direction, and I don't blame them, but I think the crew should've tried to hit a middle ground when making the plot go the direction it did.
