Has anyone tried either game in the What's O.L.D. is N.E.W. line of RPGs?
The system seems interesting to me, but I haven't had a chance to see it in action yet.

Glancing through, it looks like large pools of d6 vs difficulty numbers. And the "sci-fi" includes brain-magic as a core stat. So nothing new or interesting going on so far.

The "Ogron" species of large, green, dumb soldiers has typical names including Lugog, Ugbug and Grishog.
Just went from "maybe it organizes itself in a way that puts a new spin on old forms" to "lol space orcs and tall, slender, hairless white people with brain-magic. So sci-fi!"
