Should Magic have cast time?

Makes sense to me if you have to spend a bit of time chanting an invocation to cast spells.

Cast time is the only tging stopping mostspells being abused to high hell (even more than they already are). I think that the only way to fix magic is to nerf eituer cast times or spells per day. Otherwise magic is the ultimate weapon.
