It isn't Nahiri because if Magic ever plans to make her a "hero" down the line they'll have to retcon Innistrad 2 to have her been mind controlled or something.

Old Nissa was interesting. I didn't like Liliana in Agents of Artifice, but haven't read other stories with her. The Magic books I've read otherwise didn't have many good females besides Jhora, which was a fun muscle wizard.

That being said I want to see what they do with her next. Redemption would be dumb, and she's out of Eldrazi to lure. Maybe trying to terraform a new Zendikar and stealing a planar portal to immigrate her people.

Literally how? Once they put two and two together and realize she built the drownyard that dragged Emrakul to Innistrad purely to dick over Sorin in response to him dicking her over (because OldWalkers have literally no sense of scale and I kind of love it) they'd turn on her pretty quick
I mean it could be a neat storyline for her to join the Gatewatch because she honestly and earnestly believes she did the right thing to Sorin so goes right back to heroing only for the other members to kick her out once they learn the truth of what she did. Sort of make her a Black Adam character, someone who's working with a much older and wildly different definition of 'hero'
If anyone's going to form the Jacetice League B-Team its going to be Tamiyo and the rest of her Reading Circle like Ajani, Narset, maybe Sarkhan. Saheeli Rai and Arlinn Kord would also make neat additions since they were relatively underutilized in the blocks that introduced them

She DID try to fact check.
She went to Zendikar, saw that the Eye of Ugin was completely fucking destroyed, and that Ulamog had already eaten two entire continents. And because Ugin's a giant lying shit, she fully believes the Eldrazi can't be killed, and doesn't have the multiple decades and oldwalker powers to put together a new hedron network.
Because of Ugin, the only logical conclusion one could make with this information was that Zendikar was doomed, and she didn't want to sit there watching said death. She didn't go back later for the same reason - it'd just be more dead, it's not going to magically get better, just more devoured by Eldrazi. Because, again, Ugin is a fuck.
And thus she decides that since they're going to eat planes regardless, Target #2 should be Sorin's home because none of this would've happened if he hadn't locked her away. There's also the simple fact that - as far as she would know, having been in the Helvault when the Mending occurred and not meeting him until well after everything was finished - he was still as powerful as he was before and it was only herself that was weakened, and thus couldn't hurt him directly, only indirectly by damaging something he cared about. And the only thing he actually cares about other than himself is Innistrad.
What she did was still horrible. I am not saying otherwise. But it's not like she did it for no reason whatsoever. And honestly, I don't think the idea of redemption would be dumb (assuming terraforming another plane doesn't happen, which it might) - it'd just end up being one of those lifelong, neverending attempts at making up for what one did deals rather than a few acts here and there and bam redeemed. 'I can't ever make up for what I did, but I can at least attempt to'
Really, the true villain is the creative team making both Sorin and Nahiri both giant fucking idiots in their encounter just to set up their BIG MYSTERY OOOOH SPOOKY

When I said redemption would be dumb, I meant how Wizards would probably do it, not that competent writers couldn't make it compelling or interesting.
