Is it Arkham Horror LCG really good as people says? How hard to learn to play it is compared to games like Magic?? What expansion /tg/ recommends?

I've played with a buddy of mine who owns it and it's a lot of fun. It's not that hard to learn but it is VERY easy to overlook rules, and we played a the first scenario 4 or 5 times before we had all the rules right.
The Lord of the Rings LCG for us was waay harder and the core set of cards in AH will take you a lot farther.
I've only played through about half of
"The Dunwich Legacy" and it really plays with the format and especially the Train part and when Mill gets introduced had me really excited about the mechanics. The game has a lot of flavor and is pretty creative. I've never played it by myself but with a friend it is super fun and you should have enough cards to support 2 player with the core set.

Its the kind of game that takes all day to play unless you've gone through it a few times. About 50% of the time me and my friends go to play we decide its not worth it halfway through setting up. Its probably one of the least efficient boardgames Ive ever played. It tries to do about a half-dozen things, and only does one of them well.
If you've got a friend who's played before or a ton of patience you're fine. If you're only bit of nerd cred is MtG you're FUCKED.

You're thinking of the board game not the card game

My bad. Missed the blurry text that says "the card game". Disregard what I said.

It's good but the narrative is subpar AND it's almost non replayable - you just don't want to do same thing over and over again because you know the story
