The Scar of Africa is mended to a great region of lakes and rivers.

The Liches did not touch the Scar of Marklander Union as they actually liked the frigid new islands.

The Great War of the Atlantic Islands was lengthy, brutal and involved considerable number of nearby states.

The original start of the war happened over the new border-river that had been torn between the Republic of Afrikkka and the Federation of Ivory Coasts. However, the main cause for the war was the claims to the new islands by both rivals.

The results were.. mixed. For the two large and old african countries, the war was mostly a chaotic clash of warships while huge surge of explorers, adventurers and mercenaries scouted the new islands.

The Republic and the Federation could have divided the small and large islands between themselves, but then the other present nations announced themselves.
-HUElands took their surroundings in a sudden and deadly assault of berserker raiders.
-Their cousins, the Wildlanders, gained substantial ground from their neighboring Federation colony. Perhaps not surprisingly cooperation between them and HUErs did not work and gruesome videos of their mindless clashes have been uploaded.
-Benin Empire was content to just grow their small Penetration Canal Zone into a greater shape of islands. The enhanced presence of their sizeable navy and merchant contingent still worried the Republic and Federation. Despite diplomatic attempts, Benin Empire remained hostile to both of them.

Almost forgotten because of the pretty imagery of the battleships and fighter jets, the Republic and the Federation did also fight a sizeable land war, once more shifting their borders a bit. Interesting, and not often stated, fact is that both sides "accidentally" sent forces to Kingdom of Martin Luther as well and conquered many cities.

The war caused much internal strain as well: The most northern province of the Republic, Molonas, declared independence during the bitter conflict and the Republic was too much focused on the islands to prevent it.

Molonas is quickly becoming a peaceful republic known for their tasteful Hellasian wines.

The people of Greater Benis and Cockoland look at the small patch of Kievian Rus dangling below them.

The New Nurseland established itself once more as a state of doctors without borders. This time, however, they allied themselves with the Benis Empire and Cockoland, already good comrades.
