I need some inspiration for my new Tyranid army. Post your bases

Basing question for the 40k. Are Marine Dreads, Chaos equivalents, etc CURRENTLY on 60mm bases like some people claim, or 65mm like my old plastic Black Reach dread?

Does it actually matter?

I have a basing question too

I have a regular tactical squad of marines that are all on 30mm bases instead of the usual 25mm, is this ok when the rest of my army is on 25mm? the marines came from one of those Horus Heresy boxed sets but I got em off ebay for cheap.

GW's ruling is that if the bases were ever used for the unit/model in question, they're legal.

Stupid, I know. You might have some difficulty with specific tournaments.

despite being listed as different sizes, I tried holding a textured plastic dreadnaut base (supposedly 60 mm?) up against a 65mm base from this kit. The two were the exact same size.
