Hey /tg/ i need some help with the features of a homebrew class im building.
Its basic gist is a dragonslayer alin to St George, a knight who hunts dragons. Yet i'm trying to extrapolate more on the bits of such mythos which are brushed over in terms of how they actually fought the beasts. So while armoured the dragonslayer would focus mainly on evasion and dealing as much damage as possible in single attacks (as it tends to be quite hard to hit a flying enemy multiple times)
To that purpouse i've got through 3 features so far:
Draconic knowlege (favoured enemy focused on dragons)
Resolute strike: one of two options, either every attack uses double the dice or a raw doubled damage, the first is a roundabout form of the fighters Action surge and the second seems a tad OP.
Move or die: grants a bonus against dodging, with draconic knowlege giving an extra levelled bonus against anything dragon-y.
It took me a while to get this far but even now i look back and im not really satisfied.
I wpuld have done it as an archetype for the fighter but i already have archetypes planned which i dont want to let go to waste (although combining one with the archetype idea could be a good enough alternative if it emerges my whole class idea is horseshit)
I should also add that i have no idea what the best way to implement move or die is as adding a +2 or something on saving throws seems op

A class just for dragon slaying seems a bit too specific to begin with. why not just build a good fighter, paladin, or ranger and flavor it as a dragon slayer?
