Fuck the haters, he is literally a player self-insert trying to collect all the models and make the best dioramas.

To inter as much of the galaxy's history in Solemnace as possible, so that when chaos sweeps the galaxy and burns out, the new necron empire that emerges eventually, thousands of years hence have a repository of information about their forebears.
He's convinced a general chaos victory is inevitable, which is why Solemnace is so heavily warp-shielded that hive fleets go 'round.

Hive Fleets go around all Necron worlds in general.

Old lore, in much new lore they attack necron worlds, sleeping or not, though id imagine theyd pick an imperial world over a cron one

Tyranidfags are sure are cancerous.
"Shield of Baal : Word of the Silent King" says that Tyranids unless provoked will avoid Necrons since the Necron metal bodies are not fodder for the Tyranid hunger.
So if the tomb world is dormant and full of life, the Tyranids will come to it. If it's barren and active like most awakened tomb worlds, then they will avoid it like they did with Solemnace which was a barren world full of Necrons.
