I mean, if you want the players to be forced into a cutscene, just say so OP. If that's the case, DM fiat it. If you want an actual challenge for them to escape, prevent them from using magic and make sure things operate like an actual prison. Don't pull cliches like two people on duty at any given time and narcoleptic guards.
