Most the 8e hate comes from individual core rules/"abstractions" that require too much suspension of disbelief for players. Stuff like Imperial Bastion Beyblades or anti-aircraft flamethrowers.

Most 8e defenders defend it by saying "it's not 7e." 7e's problems were less in core rules (it didn't need a fucking FAQ for squad coherency), so much as the extraneous random charts and the codexes.

Both are shit for different reasons. How would you make 40k unsuck?

One issue with 6 and 7 is that they added too many USRs. 4e/5e had about 22, 7e has around 80+. And many of the rules have similar names, but do different things, and the rules don't say what they do on the name. So instead of +1 Attack(When Charging), or +1 Strength(when charging), you have Rage and Furious Charge. Or there's Crusader vs Zealot, Hatred vs Preferred Enemy (wouldn't you prefer to attack the enemy you hated most?), etc.

Dunecrawlers have a Skitarii Ranger and Vanguard operating the guns/driving the vehicle. 1d4chan's article on Dunecrawlers says both Skitarii are dying slowly inside, but why would the Ranger be dying? It really depends on the army but in very general terms 2000pts=100PL, so 1000pts should be around 50PL.

But like I said it depends on the army and what you bring, with marines I built a 2100pt list that was around 100PL so you gotta find out for yourself. because it can vary a lot depending on what you bring.

What? I build my lists by hand too. In notepad, or excel, or google sheets.

It's simple. As you're building your list to 2k keep a running tally of what you're spending on wargear.

When you get to 2k total points look at your wargear tally and see what you can move to the 200pt extra wargear allowance in order to squeeze 200 more points of models into your list.

Or use those 200pts purely for additional wargear.

Fantasy battle back when it existed had somewhat of a similar system.

Crimson Fists are cool dudes because they're one of the chapters that, for me, epitomizes 40k alongside the Black Templars. The Crimson Fists have a long history, going back to being the guys on the cover of Rogue Trader, the very first edition of Warhammer 40,000. This right here is the original artwork. The chapter is led by Pedro Kantor, the dude who decided "Nah instead of a heroic last stand I'm gonna grab everyone left and plan out how to remove ork and save Rynn's World".

Apart from their equipment, how do Reivers differ from regular Primaris marines? I'm wondering if I could use regular Primaris models with different heads, knives and pistols as Reivers. Not huge fan of their stripped down armour look.

Hey, why are Blood Angels Successor chapters so goddamn lazy with their designs? They are basically all just the same red dudes, in different shades of Red, except the Lamenters.

This strikes me as especially uninspired because until like, what, 4th edition or whenever the Flesh Tearers started their push as the "Black Rage +" Marines, these guys all basically just existed as alternate colour schemes for the Blood Angels rules. But they barely qualify as 'alternate'.

At least with the Dark Angels, the first three Succcessors divided up the various DA colour schemes into different main schemes and did a split scheme.

But guess what ? In the fluff, Tycho is very much dead, not miraculously resurrected after being dead and buried for over ten thousand years. There were literally at least two full legions eyewitness to Ferrus losing his head. Blood Angel geneseed was lost during the siege of terra, so they sucked some corpse juices out of Sanguinius to make new geneseed which led to the whole Black Rage issue.
If those two come back, there is zero reason why the Emperor can't jump off his throne, say "just a prank bruh" and dickslap the chaos gods out of existence.

Firstly, the Black Rage was due to the psychic link, not due to the geneseed being a problem. Since it affected the BA who had been created with 'pure' stocks as well.

Secondly, deus ex machina time! Cawl had a secret supply of BA geneseed and has used it to make Primaris so now they only have a 0.1% problem rate. Same applies to Space Wolves.

As for the Ferrus losing his head; again, HH book states that many Iron Hands did not believe he died and it was a trick.

But finally? GW isn't going to piss off Blood Angel fans who are ultimately the most popular chapter now (according to GW it's Ultramarines, BA, SW and DA) by bringing back Girlyman but not Sanguinius. If that's the case, same applies to Iron Hand fans. If Chaos gets all the Primarch's bar Curze, Horus and Alpharius back then it's a bit shit.

If all the other loyalists return, it's uneven. If they don't return it's dicksucking the Ultramarines.

GW can't win this without bringing everybody back and everybody getting their toy.
